Marijuana legalization is only supported by stoners. No exceptions.

You know that most black markets would stop with legalization right? Without the high profits that come with selling prohibited goods, the dealers would not be able to stay in business. It's too expensive. You can grow your own weed in places that have legalized it. It's only regulated when you sell it to others, to make sure it's safe. A lot of people try to cut drugs with dangerous products to save money.

Look at moonshine. Many illegal moonshine producers use old car radiators as stills. Many of them do not flush out and clean the radiators good enough, and so the moonshine is toxic, tainted with coolant.

 

Not at all. I purchase all my tobacco on the black market. I don't see why it would be any different with cannabis if it were "legalized".

I also brew my own liquor, and have on occasion purchased "illegal liquor" from friends who do the same. The lack of regulation did not bother me. I'll take my chances, thanks.

 

How about you stop going around the topic at hand and actually respond to any one of the legitimate arguments that have been presented against your statements? You're not trying to argue any facts here, you're simply making unrelated statements that don't contribute to your initial post.

So please respond to my first post, you're free to review the sources I listed as well. There are many others that you can find on google if you want to compare the poll results. If you don't respond to my initial post I'm going to go ahead and call it quits on this thread, I'd rather stay on topic or not continue at all.

 

His entire premise is based on his false claim that only people who use weed want it legalized. People have said they support legalization and do not smoke weed, and he just calls them liars. IMO, this thread should be considered flaimbait, since he has proven he does not care about debate and facts and has no facts, but only his own biased opinions to support the OP.

I smoke, almost daily, and I have a nice apartment, a nice car, a nice job, and make more than the majority on this board.

There are currently only 17 states that don't have some form of legalization (ranging from medical to Colorado).

 

Then you should move to some totalitarian country like Malaysia or China. The US was founded on principles which promote individual freedom. Those so called representatives who wrote and passed legislation to make drugs illegal here in the US were tools who only benefitted the old guard heroin traffickers by driving the prices up by a factor of 500-1. We should immediately scrap all drug laws and release all of those imprisoned for possessing, using or selling drugs or any other substance.
