Want to talk about how many times Hillary had her family bankrupt with her cattle futures trading? How they were flat broke when they left the White House?

I think it is quite laughable that you have to pull funds out of a retirement fund to pay for home maintenance when your annual income is over $200k. But it's his money so his decision, and apparent bad prior decisions which put him it such a financial situation.

The appliance salespukes said that more expensive refrigerators have a mean service life of around 40 years. Of course, if new technology arrives which would make the old model more expensive to operate in comparison, then that changes economic equation.

Our new refrigerator we just bought for $2,900 saved us about $8 a month in electrical costs compared to the horrific refrigerator we had before. If our new refrigerator lasts 20 years, and since it is built a whole lot better then the old one which lasted thirty years, I don't think I'm going out on a limb on this, then the savings in energy costs would be about $1,920, which is going to pay for the initial expenditure, and that isn't looking at the ecological benefits.

Does this mean you think John Kerry is living above his means seeing as how he didnt want to pay half a million in Ma excise tax? Seems to me if he cant pay Ma tax he shouldnt be buying yachts right?

As a liberal Dem, this is one of the few things about Marco that I can appreciate. He's actually putting his cash where his mouth is for something he believes in. Bush, Romney, Clinton, etc. can treat presidential campaigns as hobbyists treat cross-stitch.

Just the targets of opportunity, but they are a little like pheasants at a Dick Cheney bird hunt.

I didn't even mention Mr. water drinker's name because I don't give a flying fornication what he keeps his bottled water in. I was responding to a poster that was surprised that $3000 refrigerator even existed. Jeez!

I can't wait for our real journalists to get to the bottom of that mystery. Not sure when they'll start looking though.
    But...it's only money, after all.

IMO..the more complex a design, the more difficult to clean and apt to break. I hate stuff that has way too many nooks and crannies that collects dirt and bacteria. There's a customer for everything I guess.

    ......

There is a vast difference between a person going out and buying a refrigerator because you want one, than when you are in financial distress which Marco Rubio clearly is, and may take some campaign funds to pay for it, he has done it before for parties, personal items., liquor, haircuts, and makeup. He is a poor financial manager, and his home probably did need a new refrigerator and he could have done one more speech telling fellow republicans what they want to hear. One thing is certain: to cash in over $68,241 dollars worth of retirement funds, with a significant tax penalty, shows Rubio is in deep doo-doo. We all know how politicans feel about paying taxes...

I find it ironic that you feel that Rubio is a poor financial manager and that should exclude him from being our next President, however you support Hillary "we're broke" Clinton, even though the Clinton's have probably made more than 10 times the money Rubio has even seen....and are declaring themselves as being "broke".

And Hillary gambled the entire family worth in cattle futures putting them in bankruptcy 3 times during that period. Then inspite of her being a high power attorney, her husband a State AG, then a State Governor and the President of the United States claims they were broke when the left the White House.

So who is the better manager of money?

I was not aware that repairing an air conditioning unit constituted living above your means. Mod edit: could have phrased that second observation a little differently,

I find it ironic that you insinuate that I ever said that Rubio's financial state should exclude him from being our next president...he'll do that on his own time. I said he was in financial disarray in his personal life, although it would be clear to any financial manager that if he cannot handle his monthly bills, how could he ever handle a major republican deficit that follows every republican administration Federal and State.

And you needn't spin your wheels concerning who I support or do not support for two reasons 1] it is irrelevant, 2] It is none of your business.

Thanks for that link. What the heck kind of budget does this idiot have?!?!?!? I make just around what he does, but my monthly bills are $6K and even after loading $2K in my 401K I still have like $4K a month left over to splurge with after bills. And who pays $3K for a fridge? Mine died 2 years ago and I got a really nice metal LG one for like $1.5K at Lowes. And a 15K BTU A/C unit is $450. I know that because I just got a new one for one of the rooms last week (also at Lowes). And I don't know where the heck he lives, but I funded my 529 plan with $100K and between that and the Georgia HOPE, I got 5 kids through college with $10K worth of money left over for my future grandchildren. How can this idiot possibly run a country?

Not that I doubt your veracity on the subject of smears and gossip, but I will need a credible link...no Fox News, and Rush Limbaugh just got canned, so I am waiting for your credible links.

Yeah but did you see that he ripped into his 401K? Every financial person on the planet says you never touch your 401K or borrow against a 401K. Ever, ever, ever. If he is that stupid, I shudder to think how he plans to put together a $2.2 trillion dollar budget every year for Congress. This guy needs to go work in a coal mine or a potato farm or something and leave politics for smarter people.

That is exactly what you implied:

If you do not want it to be our business, then maybe you shouldn't air your opinion for all to see....day after day after day after day....:

I'm just here to point out hypocrisy......my job is now done.

Really? I thought he had a year left on his $400M deal? He's 64 now, so he should probably negotiate something more laid back and part-time next year. Like Howard Stern did with Sirius XM. OTOH Forbes said he is worth almost a half billion. When does someone have enough money that they can just go enjoy their lives and not even bother working? For me that number is $3M to $4M. I cannot imagine having $400M and even fantasizing about going to work. I'd be having a 12 month per year vacation all over the globe. He should be making about $2M a month just on interest from his investments.

Us working people without any other means to support themselves other than a 401(k) should never touch it. However, to person that is now eligible for a Congressional Pension, that 401(k) is irrelevant.
