Sitting here listening to the Bernie Sanders, Katie Couric live interview

    Wow !

Although I do approve of Senator Rand Paul, M.D. and Senator Elizabeth Warren,
I have NOT listened so long to any candidate without feeling some degree of opposition to any point.

Does anyone have a reason to oppose Bernie Sanders. Help me please.
At this moment he describes his Socialism in terms of Northern Europe, retirement, child care, college fees.
PLEASE, someone explain to me why I should oppose Bernie Sanders.
I fear being sucked in to Fans of Sanders. :omfg:

    Moi :oldman:
I will post the link to the interview
when it exist, unless someone else does.

    this may work - https://www.yahoo.com/politics/bernie-sanders-talks-to-katie-couric-this-120458581061.html

Pretty sad when we have a Jewish socialist running for President of the United States and he isn't laughed at and booed off the stage. Haven't we seen enough of his type in world history? Almost 100 million dead in the 20th century, primarily because of the brainchild of a Jewish socialist like Sanders.

You want a Scandinavian type society? Deport almost all minorities and their foreign, non-Western cultures. That would go a long way towards giving you what you want.

But Sanders doesn't want that. If anything, like most people who identify with his ideology, he wants less Northern European types and more Hispanics, more blacks, more Muslims, etc.

Bernie Sanders has my attention too. I'm interested in well thought out oppositional arguments.

I support Bernie and have contributed to his campaign. If he can build up enough cash to start running ads, I think he stands a real chance to knock off Hillary.

In the meantime with a thread title that says, "Bernie Sanders. Wow!" I was at least hoping for a Putin-esque photo of a shirtless Bernie with ripped abs spearing fish with a broadsword from the back of a Clydesdale.

Sanders has his good points and bad points. Whom you choose to vote for is your choice. Whomever it is, let no one talk you out of it.

I have noticed that since I filled out the poll from the DNC picking the choice that I was supporting Bernie because I support Bernie and not as some symbolic exercise i have not received anything else from them or the Hillary Campaign that had been emailing me regularly. The fix is in. If you want to see not Hillary, then people really need to get behind Bernie with their dollars early.

This will be the biggest benefit to Sanders running. It will flush out left-wing Democrats who hide under the "moderate" and "centrist" labels to finally identify as socialists.

He has no chance. Corporations and extremely wealthy people buy elections in this country. They hate him. Some of them may be socially liberal, but they want no part of a guy that wants to stop helping the rich at the expense of the poor and middle class.

    He's a Bolshevik.

It's a joke to think he'll swing the moderate independent.

His rhetoric may fly in liberal Vermont, but anyone South of the Mason-Dixon dislikes communists.. He's a Communist...calling him a Socialist is being kind.

He is a big government socialist/ enemy of constitutional liberty. I'd rather meet him on a battlefield than vote for him.

He won't get the female vote, either. I don't think they wanna see him with his shirt off.

He looks like the type to set up a gulag. I wouldn't put anything past any socialist.

Bernie isn't a socialist the way people like to think of socialism as a great ill. He is oriented toward middle class people and middle class issues. Hillary is your closet socialist. She couldn't care less about middle class America. She follows 17 accounts on twitter and most of them are Clinton-related. She has no clue what middle class life is like.

I don't disagree with you about Hillary, but Sanders doesn't know anything about middle class life either. He's a millionaire several times over, like everyone else in Congress. You'd watch his rhetoric fall apart shortly after taking office.

Did you just unironically use the fact that a candidate is Jewish as a criticism?

Calling him a socialist is understanding how words work. Evidently, you don't.

    C'mon. He's a loon!

Hillary will be the Democratic nominee for your party.

Conservatives need to prepare now to take down the Clinton machine...Sanders is the crazy Uncle at the barbecue. No one in their right mind takes him seriously as a candidate for the highest office in the land.

Socialism is on the rise in the US and will be detrimental. The socialist 'give away the treasury at every chance' is not really a good thing.

Sadly, I think you are right. Part of me wants it to be Sanders, though. He can't hide from the label like Hillary can. Democrats are seen as the party of the middle mostly because of the media, but also because they hide who they are so often. If Sanders was the nominee, he'd get the votes of Democrats, forever binding them to the "socialist" label. That would go a long way to showing the moderate middle just what this party is all about and what it is comprised of.

Why should you oppose Bernie Sanders? His economic views are oppressive and stuck in the 50's. His worldview is that the government is entitled to everybody's hard earned money and if you're lucky our benevolent government might give you 10% back.
