I can answer that one. He desires to see all the draconian laws that are imposed upon him in New York be applied across the US. That's a bit assbackwards if you ask me. He should be demanding the same Rights that I have in Indiana or Texan in Texas, not trying to pull the rest of us down.
There are lots of gun carrying criminals. Do you know how often they are prosecuted for illegally possessing a firearm? The charge is usually dropped when plea bargaining other charges. I don think it will make much of a difference in our gun violence stats, considering that people that are currently prohibited from owning a firearm are the ones responsible for the bulk of the gun murder statistics. They don't seem to care that it is illegal to carry. Also, it would be backdoor registration. Tell me how not having a one gun purchase a month is currently contributing to our murder statistics. And, how could you enforce that since people buy used guns from each other?
