Great false dichotomy and strawman scenario

    - - - Updated - - -

And you'd let her due that? Shame...

Because if a woman tried that on me she'd end up like Sharon Tate, regardless of what I did to provoke it

    - - - Updated - - -

People are also allowed to picket funerals with signs saying "God hates f@gs" - and if you object to that that just means you "hate freedom" right?

I don't understand the far-liberals who want to put blinders on their eyes and deny that there is any dark cloud to match the silver lining that comes with living in the "modern world" - the internet has done a lot of good for example, yeah - but that doesn't mean that bad side effects haven't come with it.

Having so many simple electronic pleasures at our fingertips plays a large role in the rise of obesity and depression, and the rise of tabloid media and journalism does a lot to make us more cynical and misanthropic. These are all real phenomena that deserve mentioning.

And for real... Bronies, seriously... just seriously. What next, grown single men sitting in their basements all day watching "Barney and Friends" and writing homoerotic fan fiction about Barney and Mr Rogers? Our founders would be rolling in their graves to hear that this is some far-leftist's view of "progress".

OMG people watch a TV show that teaches such unAmerican values as sharing, understanding, and peaceful conflict resolution. The horror! Why aren't these men watching a real sport like football where they can get obsessed with the size of Tom Brady's balls.

10 bucks says the percentage of Bronies who are also members of NAMBLA is significantly higher than the general population.

You claim to be a libertarian but frequently side with socialists and economic leftists. Pot meet kettle, no one here believes your a libertarian.

The only issue he sides with "conservatives" on is the issue of transgenders; apparently anyone who isn't in favor of automatically putting hormones in a 13 year old, and eventually cutting off their junk because some shrink casually decided he was "transgender" must be a right wing extremist in your tiny world, lol

Nevermind that plenty of mental diagnosis are later reversed and re-diagnosed.

    You forgot pedophilia.

Not to mention any adult who has to learn about sharing and caring from a cartoon aimed at 7 year old girls is seriously emotionally stunted. in fact that's an insult to the emotionally stunted. Even when I was 7 years old I thought shows like that were beneath my intelligence.

They aren't watching it because it doesn't make for as interesting discussion on NAMBLA forum as erotic fan fiction about underage female horses - pedozoophilia I believe they call it.

But hey bro, Barney teaches the awesome values of sharing and caring too - so feel free to invite your next date to watch Barney with you and tell me how that works out for ya, lol

On the flip side you don't have to worry about Bronies being around for much longer, because they're about as likely to reproduce as a eunuch in a gay male bathhouse, lol

Not to mention lol, just lol - at the people in this thread promoting it as just about "teaching caring and sharing" - the "Brony" meme was started of 4chan - it was about some neckbeards who got bored of spanking the monkey to their nude MS Paint drawings of "Totally Spies" and just needed to find a new way to get attention online. Nevermind that any adult who'd need to learn about caring and sharing from a show that's in the same tier as "Barney" is severely emotionally stunted, and should probably be monitored by the FBI

Amusing to see liberals turn on their own just for not being gung-ho about removing teenagers' genitals at the whims of a therapist.

Reminds me of the conservatives eating up their own just for daring to criticize an outright white supremacist. Left-wing division at its finest, lol

I disagree with those Christians picketing funerals, they are assaulting others imo (I support their right to be free, and believe what they want, but not to sabotage our soldiers funerals)

collecting My Little Pony's or raising cats is not an attack on another

    see the difference

I have no idea. I do not concern myself with the pony fetishers.

I was being facetious, but I can totally see someone emotionally stunted enough to have a fetish involving a show written for 8 year old girls moonlighting as a NAMBLA member.

I am a left libertarian. I have been clear about that. I support small government and a free market and I support having the government correct for market failures and voluntary forms of collectivization.

One would think such would qualify as beastiality more than anything else.

He also once said: “Existentialism isn't so atheistic that it wears itself out showing that God doesn't exist. Rather, it declares that even if God did exist, that would change nothing.”

Dostoevsky was a cynical bastard, one I would recommend all Christians read. Existentialism: From Dostoevsky to Sartre is a good primer in these ideas.

I agree on society being (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up. You've gotta assert your preferences in your own action, without regard for those of others. You cannot control the actions of others, so don't bother.

Meh, I think there was always this sort of thing - it just wasn't seen except in the fringes of society because communication, and therefore finding people with similar interests, was difficult. Being able to find more and more people who have similar interests makes it more... acceptable. Safety in numbers.

I agree about respect for elders though. I'm not clear how that disappeared.

If you're willing to get your butt kicked in a theological debate regarding God and morality, please respond to this. If God determines morality, is rape moral if God says so ? If you're response is that God would never condone rape because rape is wrong, that means things like rape are wrong regardless of God's command, and God is subservient to morality. Which means your are already contradicting your original thesis.

Either way, my above comment pretty much ends the argument that God is needed for morality. If anything, it is with God that immorality becomes not only legal, but moral and obligatory.

In college there was a guy who had all these teddy bears. They were kind of girly bears to boot. It was kind of weird until we found out how much money these things were worth and how he was a bear broker getting them for a bargain and then reselling them to collectors. Don't ask me the name of the type of bears because I don't remember, but people were paying him far more money than I ever would for one. He was still kind of weird, but at least he had an understandable angle to what he was doing even if he was probably whacking off with Rose The Bear on the side too.

What if that's the way others look at your family?
