Gee, I thought you had some knowledge of how the political process works...........NO one runs if they don't think they have enough support . People thinking of running research beforehand their chances.....and if the support isn't there they don't run.

I think it is time that voters stop considering one race or gender and vote for who they believe to be the best candidate.

Its sad to see people actually think this way. You should be electing someone based on their stances, experience and what is best for the nation, not whether they have a penis or not. You may not be a feminist but unfortunately your thinking process is exactly what is wrong with this nation at the moment.

At the risk of REPEATING something , the country is 250 years old and all Presidents have been elected based on the fact that First, they all had a penis, their "stances, experience, and what is best for the nation" , came second..

The "time" to elect a woman as president will be when a candidate......who happens to be a woman.....voices political positions the majority of an electorate agree with and happen to use as a basis to elect her by......not just the passage of calendar time.

Not all women. Hillary didn't have to overcome everything Barrack did. Judge individuals by what they, as individuals, have to offer.

Then next will you want an open gay? Then a transvestite? How about a midget? Maybe a blind person? A single mother with six kids? Someone with red hair? My questions are no more silly than your OP. Why would we want to pick out one element of society to be president. Let the system play out. Let's just think of electing the human being who we think will serve the country best. And our constitution decides who is qualified to run for the office.

yes, all women have to overcome sexism (Obama isn't female) ..

Yes, wouldn't it be nice if, after 10,000 years, women could be judge on something besides their ability to cook and look good.

In that case Hillary loses and Carly Fiorina is capable and the electorate should elect her.

That's BS. We all have certain characteristics to overcome through out life. Some are physical and some are mental. So what, that's life and it ain't perfect. No excuses, please. Note -- some men look good and are very good cooks, and they get judged on both. Big deal.

Hmm...., seems there have been a few women Queens, Prime Ministers, and/or Presidents of countries other than America. Perhaps you've forgotten Golda Meir, Eva Peron, Margaret Thatcher, Angela Merkel etc.....

No, not all "women have to overcome everything a male politicians do." Obama is black... and simple minded. Hillary is neither.

It would be nice. Maybe we could judge people by their reading comprehension. *shrug*

I don't really care that much what's between someone's legs. I care more about what's between their ears. If Dana Loesch ran for president, she'd get my vote. But I'd vote for her just the same if she was Dan Loesch.

The damned moronic idiots can get to say "I never thought I'd see this day coming"(All the meanwhile, punching in the same vote that would allow that day to come.) And yes, I don't hesitate to call them idiots, at least as far as it pertains to politics. Who knows, in their work day and profession they may actually be competent. What I ask of these Americans(in which there are millions of them) is to try to translate their day-to-day competence to politics.

And if they find they're politically incompetent, there's plenty of material. I'll be happy to guide them along based on their views and guide them to the easiest literature per their position.

I think it's time we started electing leaders and problem solvers instead of politicians.
