Why do you think a Feinstein bill has "no chance of even being voted on"? We had an assault weapons ban through the 1990's. These kinds of bans have happened before. If they have no chance of being voted on, it's only because the NRA, right-wingers, and other gun supporters will loudly resist the effort and send a message to leftists like Harry Reid that it would be complete waste of time to even bring it up for a vote.

You act like the concerns of these people are imaginary, but as I already showed you, the left really is trying to take guns away. They tried banning guns a couple years ago. They tried banning certain types of ammunition this year. You can't blame people for reacting and buying up what they can, when they can. They know that the second you guys have the opportunity, you'll take those things away. Stop doing that, and maybe these large purchases that bother you so much won't happen.

But, of course, you have no intention of stopping the gun grabbing attempts. I guess the plan right now is to wait until Hispanics gain a few more percentage points in the polls, then try again. Ok don't know of many liberals blaming the gun for the shooting my mother is for abortion rights, gay marriage, racial equality (She grew up during the civil rights movement in Texas), women rights, gun issues are lower on her scale of issues.
