As much as I want to see Trump get the nomination (cause he'd lose the national election), I'm pretty sure he's going to start slipping during the debates. The crazies (people who would currently vote for Trump) will be more attracted to Scott Walker because he's more articulate and generally less dumb than Trump. Even though Huckabee is second place in crazy candidates, he's too much of a loser. Scott Walker has a proven record of success. Jeb doesn't stand a chance this election cycle. 1) He's too moderate. He has a Mexican wife, ffs. 2) He's an establishment republican with a lousy record. Republicans are only going to settle for one of two types of candidates: 1) anti-establishment, or 2) establishment with a good record of pushing conservative ideals. Scott Walker is the latter.
He also is supported by half of the large republican donors and he's also good with the republican establishment . So yes from these candidates its most likely he will be the winner. It of course depends a bit if no skeletons come out of the closet or he doesnt screw up along the way when one of the freaks in the race pushes him to say something stupid.
Scott Walker would be my first choice. But he may lack the ability to outraise Jeb Bush.If Jeb is the Nominee,I may not vote. I refuse to vote for another Bush.Normal folk need to put their foot down. Enough is enough. No More Bush's. About the only candidate I wouldn't vote for is Lindsay Graham. Can't stand Mrs.John McCain { Graham }. I really like Jindal and Santorum and even Carly.I would consider Huckabee. Not so sure about Rubio but would vote for.Cruz is my favorite Choice. But the lefties have it in for Cruz, like they did for Michele Bachmann. Not a good omen. Ben Carson is good but I doubt he has any real backing. He talks TOO slow. Does not posess the power of conviction like a J.F.K. Rand Paul is my Senator and of course I support him.I don't like his Achilles heel { he's soft on defense }. Right now it's ALL Trump.Just because.Because this Country needs Real quick { like Last year } a guy who can put this MSM in their mplace. This MSM is the real problem facing this country. They gave us Obama. They continue to carry Obama's water. They still refuse to cover his negatives. How many in the MSM have made mention of what Loius Farrakhan just said the other day. There is an MSM Blackout on the Farrakhan bidness. That is why this country is in the pickle they'r in. ALL because of a Corrupted,Grafted and near Stalinistic/Politburo/State-run Mainstream media. There is absolutely no question about that. Trump may have both the ability and wherewithal to take out this MSM. Not just slap 'em around for a few rounds, but knock 'em out. That's the Real battle.
I would prefer him, but I do hesitate because I do not know all his positions on foreign policy too much.
He doesn't have many but as only a Governor you shouldn't expect him to have talked about it much yet. http://www.ontheissues.org/Scott_Walker.htm
You make good points, but as I recall, Huckabee mostly had a good, conservative record, especially considering what he had to deal with in Arkansas. Huckabee would make a fine President IMHO. Jeb would be far better than any democrat, but not my choice. Walker would be a great choice.
Walker did well discussing the economy, which is the number one thing that people are concerned with.
Well I don't mind tossing some facts out there, but I assumed everyone knew what I meant. As governor -He increased state spending by 65% -Increased government workers by 20% -increased state taxes 47% -got an F in fiscal policy from the Cato Institute He wants: -national smoking ban -federally funded art and music programs for schools -opposes school choice -supports more energy and agricultural subsidies He's a big government conservative in the mold of George Bush. I'm not sure that's what Republican Primary voters are looking for. He can go a long way on Jesus talk, at least through Iowa and South Carolina, but other than that, what he's offering not many Republicans are interested in.
How well would Scott Walker do with independents, younger voters, and Hispanics? The Republican base is the easy part to win. You just have to convince them that you're conservative "enough" but the general is a different story. The party is generally considered to be outdated, and this criticism is not unwarranted. It's okay to be a principled conservative, but you must be open-minded and reach out to people, and have some kind of record that you've solved some big problems. Foreign policy, immigration, and the economy are very important to most voters, so you better have something better than the same old same old, because non-conservatives are tired of hearing about it.
Walker has no chance. He tried his desperate bid for Iowa prolifers by declaring he wants all abortions outlawed, no exceptions, and it failed. He has a boring speech style and this is politically failure.
"Dead Man" Walker ends the charade. Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin has concluded he no longer has a path to the Republican presidential nomination and plans to drop out of the 2016 campaign, according to three Republicans familiar with his decision, who spoke on condition of anonymity. "He no longer has a path to the Republican presidential nomination"? That's like the Cheesehead Space Agency announcing that it broke its trampoline and no longer has a path to the stars. .
Scott Walker is extremely competent but he has absolutely no charisma. In America, style of substance wins every time.
I hope not but if they are not being supported they have to know when to quit, Paul's are not knowing when they are beaten, must run in the family.
