I'm being 100% literal with that title.

Fascism is characterized by middle class reaction to the left, extreme xenophobia, centrist economics, fiery rhetoric from demagogic leaders, a fixation on making a country "great again", and popularity amongst the petty bourgeoisie.

Trump has become a political force shortly after an economic crisis, something also seen in the history of the Italian Blackshirts and the German Nazis. His primary support base is in middle class people who mistakenly blame the 2008 recession on the left. His centrist economics benefit the owners of capital heavily while exerting some measure of state control. He uses the hatred and fear of foreigners common in American reactionaries. He's extremely provocative, constantly causing hatred in some and winning the hearts of others. He won't shut up about "Making America great again". And who are some of the loudest voices in his favour? Small business owners and other petty bourgeoisie.

If Trump is elected, I'm absolutely certain that history will mention him in the same breath as Franco and Mussolini. The only benefit is that society might be so horrified by him that the radical left can rise again in America.

Blah, blah, blah. The typical left wing rhetoric about any republican. The radical left rising would not benefit America as the last 100 years have shown.

If he said that Trump has progressive leanings, I would agree, but it takes more than b.s. and bluster to make someone facist. Bush and Obama, yeah they would fit into the facist or facist-leaning group. Trump, though, hasn't been very specific about much, so you can't quite classify him as such at this point in time.

Yes, Trump is acting the part of a Popular Fascist Candidate...

    And SO IS OBAMA!

In fact, Trump so far, despite his inflammatory rhetoric, is far the lesser in Fascistic action, word and deed, when compared to Obama!

"I've got my pen and my phone"....

    "Elections have consequences, we won"...

    “It takes a village”...

    https://startthinkingright.wordpress.com/2011/04/25/why-i-call-obama-a-fascist/

When Obama went full-Fascist, and began getting everything his party/agenda wanted, what the hell did you expect the response to be!?

Never thought of it that way. I think he's just an opportunist.

He may be appealing to fascist elements, but he will quickly abandon them if a better opportunity arrives.

Sounds like someone is coming to grips with a Trump Administration. Thought you guys said he would never make it so what are you terrified about? Also enforcing immigration laws isnt xenophobia. We take in lots of immigrants who wish to follow our laws. People who bypass the system screw over the ones who doing it legally.

Its funny that no one talks about Sanders being on the side of increased immigration security. Or that Trump is for increasing government revenues.

I am not pro Trump, I just enjoy the spectacle of the media trying to keep the base voters from getting confused.

You have no idea what fascism even means. You may agree or disagree with Trumps policies but calling him a fascist is ridiculous. Its not like he wants to gas the mexicans. And there is literally nothing inherently wrong with supporting middle class or being an economic centrist. Both of which do not make Trump into a fascist at all.

Trump IS Strong-headed and even more strong-willed.But like Mussolini
he can be counted on to keep the trains running on time.I think that Larry Klayman
has the right take on Trump. The American people, especially our Silent Majority
are scared. They see the country slipping away.Voting form Republicans was
meaningless. Both McConnell and Boehner, basically Gave Obama the entire
kitchen sink. Therefore Politicans are of no use.In fact due to the NSA spy
network,Pols can easily be framed.Whihc may be why GOP leadership is so
cowardly to take on Obama.Obama does have his enemies list and also the
NSA.Americans, real normal folk are in near panic over what to do.Even trusted
Republicans like Peter King have sold-out and defend the NSA program with
pure malarkey. The NSA program and Patriot Act have not stopped one act of
Terrorism. So Peter King's defense of ALL Americans can rest assured that the
NSA spying on every American is a good thing. What a crock.
Trump won't allow such malarkey. If it means he'll act a little bit like a
Mussolini,so be it.Better a Mussolni than anymore this Obama.Compariosn was
also made of New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani to Mussolini.
But Giuliani cleaned up New York city. Now look at NY city under a commie like
    de Blasio.It's de Blasé.

He doesn't have the type of "charisma" to achieve fascism within the party if he were elected. Whilst I get your point from a personal profiling of Trump, I don't think it's of any particular danger in a party system of votes on the floor. He doesn't have enough fascist allies to pass anything.

McAfee was just on Alex Jones radio last week. There's you tube of McAfee and
Jones out on a 1,200 acre ranch shooting 50 cal. rifles.I think the Jolly Roger
McAfee tried shooting that 50 cal. with one arm.

Trump is no different from Obama on quite a few issues. That much is true. However, if there's even a 5% chance of him doing what he says and deporting over 10 million illegals, building a fence, and encouraging a right-wing nationalistic sentiment in this country, I'll vote for him. I'll take fascism over your communism, any day.

I don't think Trump will get elected, but if he does, my guess is that what he's doing now is mostly bluster.

He's probably the most effective panderer in the GOP, but I doubt he actually believes most of what he's saying. I'm not really sure what he'd actually do in office other than tick off both parties.

Since we're talking opinions I think it's more like people that are sick and tired of the Political establishment and he represents the Anti-Politician. Whether you lean to the left or the right the US has major issues and neither side has done a thing about them.

If we had a strong independent I think many would be looking that direction. As it is the closet thing to that bill is Trump.

Truth be told there is a small part of me that hopes he wins it all. Maybe then the 2 messed up parties will be shocked into change.

So, Trump is a lot of things,so whatever you want to call him is fine with me--I wouldn't spit on him if he was on fire---However what I do mind is his supporters (like the one that stood up at Trump's question & answer last night)where his supporter said "the problem in this country are Muslims, like our POTUS,blah, blah, blah, then said "when can we get rid of them" think this is only their country, that they think they can make the decision on who can be American citizens,if it would be up to them, all negroes would be deported, all Mexican's would be deported, all Asians would be deported, all Muslims would be deported & it used to be all Jewish would be deported, next after they get rid of all these undesireables, who's next, anybody that doesn't own a gun, anyone that is left handed, what? And to have a Presidential hopeful (Trump)not stand up for ALL the American Citizens in this country when such hate is spewed is sickening to say the least.
The guys comments about our POTUS is just another example of the far rights failure to accept the truth & tells us just how racist this whole section of voters are.

    Over communism.

I'm sure enforcing our immigration laws and sending illegals packing is "fascism" to the left who wants Democrat votes. Oh well.
