What's the problem? This looks like a way to save taxpayer's money. People still have to prove they are eligible as legal citizens. And how many cases of voter fraud has there been in California recently?

There are mechanisms in place to make sure that voters must still prove their US- American citizenship when they go to vote.

It has always been easy to register to vote, unless you're stupid and lazy.

 

Do you live in California? Liberals are never interested in saving taxpayer money, and they control the state. There is not only voter fraud, but I wouldn't trust a liberal as far as I could throw one. I already said in the OP to read 2269 which is pretty much a wink and a nod for illegal aliens to vote.

The problem is one does not have to be a citizen to get registered at the DMV. All they do is ask whomever they give the drivers license to if they want to register to vote. What I seen was legal immigrants who weren't U.S. citizens being registered.

If a person who is ineligible to vote becomes registered to vote pursuant to this chapter and votes or attempts to vote in an election held after the effective date of the person’s registration, that person shall be presumed to have acted with official authorization and shall not be guilty of fraudulently voting or attempting to vote pursuant to Section 18560, unless that person willfully votes or attempts to vote knowing that he or she is not entitled to vote.
