It wasn't his race in 2008 that gave him the win. It was because he was just that damn good a candidate. I honestly would give Obama a third term. None of these candidates have really impressed me - I wanted more from Webb and O'Malley but not seeing it. Obama has a really unique thing about him and I am starting to feel like this group just doesn't have it. I honestly don't have an idea who is going to win - or even a feeling this year. It's just not a good round of candidates on either the Dem or GOP.

I'm not saying I've agreed with everything Obama has done or said. But overall, he's been a really good president.

Which brings me to Joe Biden. Love him or hate him, but Biden represents the continuation of Obama. I assure you the nation loves Obama a lot more than the right wing realizes. If Biden ran as Obama's third term, the election is his. If the GOP could get a moderate to run, I could give them a chance, but I find nothing but far right guys making waves.

Obama has made some mistakes as president, namely expanding the war on terror from 4 countries to 7 countries. He's nearly doubled the number of countries that Bush bombed, and in that time used Yemen as his model example of our foreign policy in the middle east.. now that country doesn't even have control of their capital anymore

..I don't know how else to express it, but I should hope the next president doesn't do the same thing, and actually ends the war on terror. We're coming up to the point where the people fighting the war will be younger than the war itself

If I were asked for one thing that bothers me about the Obama adminstration, that would be it.

Ummm - don't compare the wars Bush started in Afghanistan and Iraq to what's happening in Libya, Syria, and Egypt. Obama hasn't started a legit war with those nations.

no, but the first thing he did as president was triple the number of troops in Afghanistan, which in turn lead to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th deadliest years of that war. It is true he inherited the war on terror into his presidency, but rather than end it he extended and expanded it. He even negotiated to keep troops in Iraq longer, but the Iraqi government rejected it

Is his presidency better than Bush's? sure, but that's a very low standard to hold a president to.. I only hope the next president elected doesn't go an entire 8 years without ending the war on terror but instead expands it

also, Egypt is not one of the 7 countries we are bombing.. I don't know where you got that idea, but that was not what I meant by him expanding the war on terror from 4 countries to 7

I don't doubt it for a minute. In fact, if he refuses to leave office at the end of his term, I'm pretty sure you'll be OK with it. :)

No, the law is the law. I'm just saying I wish he could run again.

I was thinking the same thing. It's like watching adults debate whereas the FOX debate was children throwing spitballs at each other.

Yeah, I know you don't like Obama. I get that. But an objective look renders Obama as an overall good president.

Obama accomplished something incredible, got re-elected even when things hadn't yet improved from the mess Bush left him. He blows away everyone on GOP and democrat field.

As expected, a Hildebeast love fest. As expected, Webb is the smartest one in the lot. As expected, O'Malley and Chaffee are so full of s**t their eyes are turning brown. As expected, Marge Simpson aka Wasserman-Slutz has decided the nominee shall be the Hildebeast. As expected it was a gigantic boring waste of bandwidth that would have been better spent looking for life on alien planets because there was very little life on that stage.

    As expected.

NO NO NO. Why? Didn't you watch any of the debate? If you had, the real answer to all of our ills would have been as obvious as the nose on your face

No one who believes that would want him in the Oval Office, because he doesn't believe that.

He's plenty good for our enemies, that's for sure.

Personally, the last good president was Bill Clinton. He has been followed by two below average presidents. Two presidents that each have or will leave this country in worst shape than when they first took office. I don't know who will end up being president come January 20, 2017, but one can only hope whomever it is, he/she is better than these last two.

I am not sure this country can survive three back to back to back below average presidents. This isn't the late 1800's or the very early 20th century. Looking at all the candidates on both sides, I know now whom I will not be voting for, I just do not know whom I will vote for.

On the contrary, asking me is way better than asking him, because he's pretty much an unwavering paragon of mendacity.

no one is gonna change the middle east over night, the best you can hope to do is stir it up a little and hope to stir up some change in the long run

I definitely agree with more aerial type wars rather then the 10+ year boots on the ground type wars

I think Obama is a great President. I watched tonight's Democratic Debate but I think Hillary emerged as the Democratic front runner.

I would actually say we need fewer aerial wars, and fewer boots on the ground wars

tripling the number of troops in Afghanistan was a mistake, and so too was bombing Libya and Yemen, neither of these counties have control of their capitals anymore, and many of the arms we provided ended up in the hands of our enemies. We have yet to see terrorism decrease in ANY of the countries we have gotten involved in, terrorism has only increased as a result of our actions in these countries

had we of done a quick aerial attack on Afghanistan vs the 10+ year war, we would of been stronger and they would of been weaker, countries would of learned to police their own or get bombed... instead now after two 10+ year wars, countries know we have pushed ourselves to the limits financially and head count wise wanting to go to war

none of the countries we have been in for the war on terror have been a success, be it on the ground or in the air

this is what Libya looks like today
