SUMTE, Germany — This bucolic, one-street settlement of handsome redbrick farmhouses may for the moment have many more cows than people, but next week it will become one of the fastest growing places in Europe. Not that anyone in Sumte is very excited about it.

In early October, the district government informed Sumte’s mayor, Christian Fabel, by email that his village of 102 people just over the border in what was once Communist East Germany would take in 1,000 asylum seekers.

His wife, the mayor said, assured him it must be a hoax. “It certainly can’t be true” that such a small, isolated place would be asked to accommodate nearly 10 times as many migrants as it had residents, she told him. “She thought it was a joke,” he said.

But it was not. Sumte has become a showcase of the extreme pressures bearing down on Germany as it scrambles to find shelter for what, by the end of the year, could be well over a million people seeking refuge from poverty or wars in Africa, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere.

In a small concession to the villagers, Alexander Götz, a regional official from Lower Saxony, told them this week that the initial number of refugees, who start arriving on Monday and will be housed in empty office buildings, would be kept to 500, and limited to 750 in all.

Nevertheless, the influx is testing the limits of tolerance and hospitality in Sumte, and across Germany. It is also straining German politics broadly, creating deep divisions in the conservative camp of Chancellor Angela Merkel and energizing a constellation of extremist groups that feel their time has come.

If it wasn't so frustrating and bigoted, accusing German citizens of "extremism" because they do not want to be smothered by, and enslaved to so-called refugees would be laughable. Leave it to the New York Times to fling the "extremist" label on anyone who does not kowtow to the open borders policies (white genocide policies) of the New World Order of which the New York Times plays a huge role in.

Let's move enough Muslim refugees into Paul Krugman's neighborhood to make Paul and his neighbors the minorities, and see how quickly he would pen an op-ed condemning the 'invasion'. While institutions like the NYT accuse whites of being "extremists", they see no problem with having our sons and daughters fight these same people in their own land. There is percentage of these refugees that will be inclined to commit terrorist acts, and we are being forced to subsidize their living expenses. We subsidize them in their own land to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars, and we subsidize them in our land to the tune of billions of dollars. It is enslavement in every sense of the word.

I think the New World Order should have built civilization on the backs of Muslims, instead of on the backs of whites. The world would still be living in darkness; and as the world spirals out of control, I think the movers and shakers of the NWO should remember who they are and where they came from.

As for the people of Sumte, Germany, their town, their safety and sense of security are gone, and they had better, from here on out, keep a close eye on their daughters, and put deadbolts are their doors, because they are under siege.

How do you say 'Well there goes the neighborhood' in German? This experiment isn't going to end up well.

How do you say "White flight" in German. The town is doomed. The people that have spent their lives in this town will have to move to have a sense of security. Are Merkel and her cohorts doing this on purpose? She must know that this tiny town will not survive this influx of Africans, Syrians, etc. I say move them in to Merkel's neighborhood, and into her home.

In a month's time the mainstream self-righteous liberal media will complain that the extremist, fascist mayor of this fortunate town has not yet bowed to the democratic will of the majority to impose Shariah and land transfer styled after Mugabe, since the farmers own and enjoy so much open spaces while the migrant guests have to endure cramped conditions leading up to tensions and inequalities rooted in social and racial privilege. On the other hand, the East Germans were always good at building the Africans cheap apartment blocks. The farmers can also pay an extra infidel tax via the government. It will be an interesting socio-economic experiment.

"German village of 102 prepares" to be over ran by criminals and thug-goligans who ran away rather than fight for their land.

    That's a better headline!

LOL The chickens born from the arrogance of our unwarranted meddling in Muslims lands for decades are coming home to roost. If Germany wants to blame anyone, blame Bush who created this recent refugee mess by invading Iraq and destabilizing that region and giving rise to ISIS and civil war.

Wherever I want. I have a house in Portugal and Sicily. My parents are in Denmark. I am in Ireland at the moment.
How is this relevant to Europe's DEMISE as peddled by a number of posters (usually American?)?

No one in the "media" is pointing to this as Europe's "demise".
Not that that would be a bad thing.

Seems to be a recurring theme on the right wing media. Why else would Americans be posting about the DEMISE of Europe?

Demographics. Muslims are outbreeding native Europeans at a rate where every 30 years the population of Europeans will be cut in half relative to the total population of the continent. They will become the majority in Europe. You guys are more interested in voting yourselves more vacation time and pension benefits than you are continuing on your family names and cultures, and you need more 3rd world labor to pay for your bloated welfare systems. I hope it's worth it.

Could you provide a source for these demographic changes?
It is true that Europe has a low fertility rate but Muslims will not outnumber anyone.
Besides. Birth rates is a failure of capitalist society and policies. People clearly need better pay and more free time to have children. Maternity and paternity leave will start showing effects soon enough.

How does it possibly make sense for Europeans to have lower fertility rates but never be outnumbered? It's just a matter of time. If Muslims are having more children than Europeans then they will eventually become the majority in Europe.

Except you guys don't really have a capitalist society. The more Europe has shifted to the left, the worse this problem has become. You guys have tens of millions of 3rd world Arab Muslims filling up your cities that are all being subsidized via a socialist welfare system, and Europeans are paying the price for it with higher taxes. That leaves them no money to raise their own families, because they are taking care of the families of immigrants. We have the same problem here in America to a lesser extent with Mexicans, but the same concept applies.

Omg that poor little village. I would be utterly terrified if I lived there and heard that 7 times the village's population of Muslim refugees would be coming in. There should really be laws set up to prevent more than a current town's population of refugees from entering the town.

The irony of your post..... It's incredible.

You just got finished stating "No idea what you are talking about. But you are American so my bet is you heard some (*)(*)(*)(*) on your "media". while bashing someone for talking about Europe. Yet you think you know all about American politics... I doubt you have houses other than your parents.

Edit: Changed some wording to eliminate inflaming poster to the point of reporting me.
