Isn't that how the myth works? I am not so familiar with the fairy tale of racism.

You would be hard pressed to find me saying someone is a racist on this thread or any other, which would prove your projection and conjecture incorrect. But the irony is that you and others like you will more than likely call someone else a racist, just as you projected toward my post (highlighted in bold), simply for disagreeing with you and having a different opinion. The do as I say and not as I do crowd.

So you are calling Brocobilly's OP a myth?

Is the student in the OP upset by the myth of racism?

Lol. You realize every single account of Christ was handed down for many decades before it was written down? Does that make all of Christianity a figment of someone's imagination?

    Okay, bad example.

Uh huh. So if some random white guy at a college complains about having to read books by black people, what WOULD you call that then?

And that's ignoring the fact that anyone who disagrees with you is a zealot. I mean right there, you've already marginalized anyone with a differing opinion than yourself, in your mind your own is the only opinion to have. Right there, it makes taking your posts seriously difficult. It's the textbook definition of binary thinking. You're right; everyone else is wrong. On/off. 1/0. And that's not projection, that's your own words.

That's certainly a common perspective expressed by many Angry White Guys.

In fact, whilst race is a pertinent issue that merits acknowledgement, the overwhelming majority of Black Americans - as is the case with White Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Asian Americans (as well as Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, and Jewish Americans) - focus upon shared daily concerns, the mundane exigencies of just getting by as well as they can.

Rightist media and leftist media often hype the racial component to fit their fans' agenda, but I well recall studying the works of the Cavalier Poets and callow voices expressing a lack of personal relevance. Carew, Suckling, Lovelace, and Herrick, unfortunately, do not resonate with some young folks, regardless of skin colour.

A majority of the American electorate twice elected a leader whose father was African. Despite the irrational rage, Obama was born in America, is a Christian, and has not fomented an uppity insurrection by anyone - although the festering alienation is quite evident in some quarters.

Let's use the many pronoun going forward.

Why then do so many Blacks vote for 0bama, even after he put more of them out of work and lashed them to the stake of government dependence??

0bama and Moochel are the most uppity people that I have ever seen in my life. They are both arrogant, pretentious, conceited, and believe that they are so superior the white people. This projected attitude has indeed fostered a Black uppity insurrection among many, many of the Black people that I interact with every day. I say good morning or hello to just about every person that I meet in public places and the longer 0bama preaches his hate of white people and the evil that we have done the fewer of the Blacks respond. Before 0bama, particular Black receptionist always greeted me with a smile and treated me well. After 0bama was elected she hung up a picture of 0bama and by the time she retired she wouldn't even acknowledge me and then looked at me like I was responsible for the plight of the America Blacks.

0bama is doing his best to alienate whites but most white people aren't looking for reasons to whine so his attempts are invigorating white people to resist the idea that they are the words biggest problem.

Directly from the Alinsky Gospels in the liberal bible -"Rules for Radicals."

I don't think this has anything to do with Obama; I think this person has mental health issues and should get them addressed by a professional. Not much more to be said.

First I am not an angry white guy, and my wife of 40 years is Japanese, born in Japan. Second, when black lies matter continues to call for death to cops and white people, what on earth do you think a white person's reaction is gonna be?

Quit making excuses for blacks who clearly convey racist actions or messages like the loon in the OP. I won't and don't tolerate it from whites and I certainly won't tolerate it from blacks or any other race. This left loon narrative from Obama and his boot lickers has escalated the division of taking sides, and as you say, "the mundane getting along", has been working and getting better for the last 50 years.

This insane thinking as escalated since Obama decided he was going to transform America. Look how nice this is all working out. We now have more racism being projected than in the last 4 decades. Obama had a chance to bring Americans together, and he has failed miserably

    Excellent point.

Please show the birth certificates of the pilgrims in order to believe the story about them. No other records will be accepted but the original birth certificates.

Since I followed the precedent of the original White Guy proclamation in that respect ("Everything is about color to many black Americans"), why not?

It could well be because that is a warped perspective expressed by some white guys who would like to impose it upon others, and they become angry because most Americans do not share their attitude.

    Ditto. Who is your "Moochel"?

That is the Angry White Guys' party line. Most Americans, judging by the President being elected and re-elected with 50+% of the vote, and the consistent, popular assessment of being quite average, do not feel that way.

Your subjective impressions are noted for what they're worth. You reveal much about yourself, if little else.

Of course, the President had been an intimate of Alinsky before his mentor died when he was 11 years old. "A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals" was published in 1971, and has clearly influenced some folks. One prominent example: Dick Armey’s FreedomWorks, a conservative advocacy organization that instructed TP groups, distributed Alinsky’s books to everyone in its training sessions.

Meanwhile, I'm still getting along fine with nearly everyone I encounter lately regardless of their skin colour, thank you.

The same as most Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Asian Americans - to provide accurate quotes and specifically identify and denounce whoever the individuals are that would make such statements.

Obama gets you upset. A majority of Americans clearly did not share your attitude when they twice elected him. He is going away soon, so you need to be patient.

Have to disagree with you. In this case it's not about Obama, it's about a young woman who obviously has mental issues, which have nothing to do with Obama. I'd suggest you start a thread on how racism is on the rise in America if you want to toss Obama into the mix.

As a typical white privileged, you grasp on the idea of "white" because that is something you created and cultivated and understand. But it is just a barrier to your concept of "privilege", which you just arbitrarily attached by definition to "white" and thus feel you can dismiss as racist. If we want to add on top of that the privilegde of being male, as opposed to female, then the calculus in much more difficult on your part.

I don't prescribe to "tolerance" paradigms. Because it exists only as strong as privileged exists, in that the privileged must accept the paradigm or it must desist.

I am sad that the greatest civilization in human history has been vilified, degraded, and assaulted by the barbarians who benefited so much from it.

She is a shining example of how racism in the black community has risen, all perpetuated by Obama

Nice flowering comment, but the truth is, I don't prescribe to skin color nuances like you do. I have always judged a person by the content of their heart and their actions. This loon in the OP is a product of your style of flowery words trying to convince her she is a victim. The results are quite clear what she and millions of others think of WHITE people

Someone should tell her the education system she is taking advantage is a benefit of "white western culture". Electricity, automobile industry, a white man created the smart phone she no doubt uses. Blue jeans, telephone, sneakers, etc... I'm assuming she doesn't use any of those things I mean she wouldn't want to be oppressed, the sad part is she's oppressing herself and doesn't even realize it.

It's time someone teach these kids it is OK to stand on the shoulders of great people no matter the skin color or sex.

Obama won because minorities expected freebies when he took office. The takers outnumber the makers.
