All rifles can be consideerd assault weapons and should be banned. All handguns, also should be banned, cause there is no constitutional right to bear arms. SCOTUS got it wrong.

Only law abiding citizens follow the law. Criminals don't. Gun control laws only make people less safe as evidenced in places that have strict gun control laws like Chicago and NY.

Banning these type of weapons at the National level will only open up another avenue of business for the drug cartels. And they aren't going to be bringing semi-automatics over the border. They'll be bringing fully-automatic weapons over the border.

I know the town and area well, growing up I had several friends from Highland Park and the surrounding area and spent a lot of time there....

They're not all bad people, but this is an area were a lot of the residents buy $100,000 cars every year just to show their status and to outdo their neighbors...
