Because people use knives, hands and feet, baseball bats etc as well as guns and I'm under no obligation to play by the Marquis of Queensbury rules.

Also: Because I can and I don't actually NEED to justify it to you, or anyone else and yes that includes my government federal state or local.

everyone isn't capable to handle a firearm correctly and using it, so just like vehicle licenses for driving, so for carrying a concealed pistol.

 

are you sure whoever it is you are referring to wants everyone to carry a gun, or they just want everyone to have the choice, if they choose to...

there is a very clear and big difference in those two things... I want people to have the choice, choice is a good thing right?

choice is what stops something from obtaining all power and control right? the ability to choose gives us power, instead of those who removed that choice right?

Agree, I CHOOSE to carry a gun, I will CHOOSE to help you or not should the time come, and I hope it never does. I CHOOSE to at least to have somewhat of a chance.

Well, it's because people don't feel as if violence is at an all time low. Also, the fact that more people are carrying guns, IMHO, is part of the reason violence is at an all time low.

 

would you prefer the numerous female gun groups, the women who own gun stores, the women who made I have no clue how many number of videos on youtube, the numerous women who chime in on this very forum? how much quintessential proof do you need to discredit your statement that women love guns... clearly many do...

It's just a matter of allowing people to have the option. I don't think many people actually want everyone to carry but rather everyone who is sane and not a felon to have the ability to carry.

Because as has been demonstrated time after time at mass shootings (and day to day crime), the police are not there until the event has already resulted in a host of dead, damaged, or pillaged citizens. Even when there if they do not do their jobs, they are no legally liable so...people are learning, look after ones self.

Have you considered the reason the crime rate has dropped is because more folk are armed and more crooks spend serious time in jail?

Violent crime is at an all time low because there have been record gun sales to law abiding citizens ever since Obama was elected!
If we really want to stop all crime and terrorism all we really need to do is to make sure that every sensible, law abiding adult over the age of 21 is armed and is trained to use a firearm properly. Had there been a couple of licensed carriers in the room in San Bernardino the number of dead and wounded would have been much, much less and more guns in the right hands would make the south side of Chicago a lot quieter as well!

Like gays getting married, women having abortions? Smoking marijuana? The right to choose when to die?
I'd like the right to choose too but republicans don't want to give anyone the right to choose unless they support the cause.
