With the demographics changing and if republicans lose the election again, could they become a irreverent party. What do you think? It most likely be 8 more years of dems.

The political game in the US cannot properly fleece the nation without a false duopoly. People are starting to see the fleecing by the Dems. The talking points of the Repubs being the party of the rich is losing its effectiveness. The Dems may be given another 8 years in the White House if Cruz is the candidate. Both Dems and Repubs do not like the current crop of Repubs that are attempting to actually remove some power from the ruling elite.

If there are eight more years of Democrats, it will be wonderful.

No party has held the WH for more than 3 terms since the 22nd amendment was passed. At most, democrats have 4 more years before it flips.

That is just an historical fact.

More of a can't win seeing as their "front runner" in about a few weeks away from calling for people to be thrown into 'camps'.

Democrats voted in FDR after throwing the Japanese into camps. No reason Trump can't win also.

They're already irreverent and are working hard to become irrelevant.

Well, with all the Illegals & voter fraud it's going to be an uphill battle. Of course, then we can do a good ol' fashioned culling as the Conservatives have all the guns.

There is your answer in a nutshell. As long as this guy is a voter the Dems have it in a bag.

If you look at America's 240-year history, you'll see that many parties have come and gone. The Federalists and the Whigs are no longer prominent political parties. The Democratic-Republican party separated into the Democratic and Republican parties of today. Even these two parties themselves have changed a lot since they were first formed.

Personally, I believe that as times are changing and Americans become more educated and progressive, the Republican party will become increasingly irrelevant in a manner similar to the Federalists and the Whigs (unless of course they change their stances on many issues). The Democratic party will also have to contend with new rival parties including the already-existing Green Party and Libertarian Party and possibly any others that may rise up. Many progressive voters are already starting to break away from the Democratic party and Millennial support for Bernie Sanders is evidence for this. I could be wrong, but this is just what I speculate about the future of party politics in the US moving forward.

Older, more conservative generations are dying off and newer more progressive ones are replacing them. Although in past times, people tended to become more conservative as they got older, that trend is now changing due to the internet, the alternative media and alternative ways of spreading messages and engaging in discourse. It has never been easier to spread ideas and find like-minded people. Even people with the most radical ideas find themselves no longer being that lone voice in the wilderness (as Jill Stein put it). However, bad ideas can spread just as easily as good ones nowadays. But then again, it has also never been easier to debunk bad ideas and really crazy fringe groups. Therefore, I still envision a more progressive future for the US where parties like the Republicans and Tea Party become less relevant.

Dems should hold the White House for the foreseeable future on demographics alone.

The GOP needs to be working on their strategy to beat Kaine in 2024.
