That sounds like a stereotype pretending to be a fact.

In fact, scholars have debunked this claim repeatedly.

This post is so twisted, I can't even begin to start with it. I am not attracted to women. I cannot get it up with women. That is not a choice I made, nor was it up to me. No, I did not want to be gay. I tried not to be for a long time. But that's not how these things work, AN. I did not get a say in the matter. And one more time, I have no desire for anyone's acceptance.

Now you've suddenly turned this into a comparison for an excuse for rape? That is so f***ed up, I have no idea how you came up with that. You're almost as bad as sec with that one.

I'm not pretneding at all you are trying to make an absolute comparison between two unequal samples. Its bull(*)(*)(*)(*). .

No you pointed to one bull(*)(*)(*)(*) statistical test.

If you didn't want to be gay, why are you attracted to men? Are you sure you aren't pansexual?(Or Asexual) as that would fit the definition way better if you truly didn't want to be gay. No, like everyone else you were unsure and then eventually and gradually you began to develop and nurture those feelings of same-sex attraction.

But in spite of everything, you don't want to call it your "choice", because directly owning it still feels taboo to you.(Or that rather, again you wish for the acceptance of others.) And since you can't renounce your feelings, you simply say you have no control over them. It's exactly the same as the rapist's justification.

A deflection, that cannot be evidenced in reality. You're gay and you're proud of it. Simply state that and don't let other people's perceptions tie you down. We all make choices, and we don't have to justify those except to ourselves.

Remember the ratio of homosexuals in the general population is about 30/1. So homosexuals are 3 times more likely to be pedophiles. But as I said I dont attribute this to be inherent in homosexuality. This is the fault of homosexual culture that refuses to address child abuse within the community. Harvey Milk is praised as a hero but there is little evidence of him ever having a sexual relationship with an adult male. He was exclusively a pedophile. This culture of acceptance encourages pedophilia just as we see in other cultures with similar acceptance.

Which scholars. See above simple statistics.

There you go again, telling me what I think. It is not a deflection, AN. It's real. I did not develop and nurture anything. I am physically and emotionally attracted to guys, not women. That's just the way it is. I did not get to choose that. I tried to deny it for a very long time and it did a lot of harm to me and the people around me. You keep trying to tell me what I think and what I am, and you don't listen. You are not interested in the experiences of others and that they differ from your own.

And when did I say I don't "own" being gay? WTF? I never said that. Of course I'm proud of who I am. But that does not change the fact that I did not choose to be gay. I did not. To say otherwise would be the lie. I can't speak for others, just myself.

And no, nothing I have told you can be compared to raping someone. Good lord.

That said, I am going to no longer concern myself with your particular perceptions.

Let me guess you are a millennial. Its no surprise that AN's words about choice and personal responsibility are foreign to you. In the 90s gay guys would get upset if you said that they were born that way. But that was gen-X one of the most independent generations ever born. Its not surprise to me that the 'its not a choice' movement came about with the millennials. Your generation hates the idea of personal responsibility and accountability.

I provided a peer reviewed scientific paper, proving the claim wrong. that you don't like it, doesn't change that.

actually I showed why the statistic doesn't support the claim, and provided a peer reviewed scientific paper proving the claim false.

    I already debunked this..................
    http://www.drryanhall.com/Articles/pedophiles.pdf

I'm pretty sure I already asked you to show your evidence that Harvey milk ever had sex with or was accused of having sex with prepubescent boys. In case I didn't, I will ask now. Please show your evidence for such a claim.

And I provided a peer reviewed scientific paper saying that homosexuals were 3 times more likely to be pedophiles. So which statistic is correct. Well as is always the cases in statistics you chose the statistics that makes the most sense given the populations you are dealing with. With vastly uneven populations you have to look at relative statistics not absolute.

I WIN YOU LOSE. I will always be smarter than you.

actually nowhere in your paper did it state any such thing.
    .
the statistic doesn't say they are more likely to be pedophiles.

lol, your own paper doesn't support your claim, it specifically says that is not the case. you should read your sources before posting them.

    bless your heart, lol

    I've already debunked this.

Mine uses better more direct stats. Yours is convoluted.

lol Like you can actually read a paper. You've been saying over and over again that pedophiles are not homosexuals even though your own paper says they are. You clearly cant read a paper.

No doubt, what do you think will happen when people finally get sick of them whining and force them back in the closet? Equal and opposite reaction might leave them there for hundreds of years...

And I've never known until now how a powerful message can be misconstrued as negative. Yeah, I don't think the LBGT Community should be involved in politics. Just stick to the relationships with your partner and keep them out of the public arena. Since scrutiny, or any such involvement is too much of a hassle for you guys.

Lol age of consent is pointless, not only are idiots pretending that some under age individuals are somehow not informed enough in EVERY case, but they ignore that the consent laws, which have nothing to do with the indivudal, in several states are below 18, in a country where pedophile can technically be ruled with a 17 year old if either sex.

Ben Carson handled that correctly, it almost seemed like the girl was upset as if she could not change her mind but WANTED to. Nothing is making her act like a pansy, nothing is making her try to look like a guy, nothing is making her have lesbian interaction with another individual, nothing is making her choose her girlfriend to be her girlfriend, theres still no evidence that theres anything genetic, its a question that is likely going to help him, inf act the mainstream media, isnt even picking this up in their republican bashing push outside a few outlets that let it die off. I wonder why...

    Lol what...

    - - - Updated - - -

Tried what, if you tried to not be gay, then that would mean you gave up and did gay actions, and gay actions are choices...

I did not try to invalidate your life experiences, did I? I accepted them at face value. But when I told you I had a different experience from yours, you denied it was real. What is a hassle for you is that you can't recognize that people have different experiences outside of your own. I'm not going to sit here and lie to you about what I have experienced in my 48 years just to make you happy. I'm not going to lie and say I chose to be gay. I'm not going to do that. If you don't like that- too damn bad. You're not the one living my life. I am.

And we'll be just fine politically, thank you.

Right wingers still don't understand what a lifestyle is, and why a sexual orientation isn't one.

A straight man could choose blow every man on the block and he still couldn't choose to be attracted to those men or enjoy it.

Your sexual orientation has little to do with who you have sex with, and everything to do with who you find sexually attractive. There's gay virgins, after all.
