So my long ban definitely gave me perspective. I should thank the mods for that I suppose. Coming back just made me realize just how negative this place is and how badly it had affected me. In my time away, I found another forum that is just as challenging, but not as negative, and they don't tolerate racists. Coming back here in recent days made me realize how badly I let this place affect me. I won't do that anymore. So thanks for whatever good times we had. But I can't be here anymore.
If you are that affected by people expressing their opinions on an internet forum, you are a pretty sensitive individual. As far as "not allowing racists"... it would appear by your trauma here, and desire for conversation only from those you agree with, that you probably aren't a good fit here. Have a good one.
When people in this forum think it is Ok to refer to black folks as "coons", it' time for me to leave. No, I am definitely not a good fit here.
Who you think the resident racists are on this forum? So I can stay clear of their corrupting influence.....
With over 4,000 posts I'm sure you can spot them easily. Search on keywords black, Muslim, gay or homosexual and you'll find tons of disgusting comments. Easy to identify.
If a site isn't healthy for you, it is well that you should stay away from it. Different sites have different dynamics, and different posters have different temperaments. political forums are generally not a good place to be if one feels they have to win at all costs or expects others to agree with them at all. Some people are rather OCD about certain issues, and I try to not get sucked into that too deeply whether I agree with the poster or not.
I don't want to start a ѕhitѕtorm by naming names (and in hindsight I probably shouldn't have made that post anyway...it's bound to cause some kind of trouble) but I'd just read some posts implying that black people were inherently less intelligent, and that annoyed me. I'm still pretty new so I don't know if some members have a history of racism. I have, however, seen a good few racist posts, and therefore it wouldn't surprise me that some people are sick of seeing that.
Sorry to see you leave. It can indeed be taxing to be on this forum. I hope you find peace of mind wherever you are going.
This forum is highly opinionated, but that's what makes this forum great. Its a " Political Forum" along with other subjects. One has to have a open mind and a bit of thick skin to post and take in the comments. If one has a problem with certain posts that are not proper "report them to the moderators to handle.You will find on any forum differences of opinions no matter where you go that's what make the world go round.
C'mon no one had ever called black folks "coons".... People like you think anyone that has anything negative to say about other cultures or races is somehow racist... Sorry, but being observant and vocal isn't racism. There are many blacks that are libertarian or conservatives themselves that see the same issues and address them, and would totally agree with me. What you call "racism" is just politics and politics aren't race based for the most part....
Yeah, nobody has ever called them that and gotten away with it. Is it that you just can't tolerate those of us who do not view diversity with the same rosy colored glasses?
