    Well there you go.

Indeed, it appears to me that Carson is endorsing government regulation over thought, over words, with a "secret shopper" program in classrooms in colleges.

It appears that it would work like this. A student would be offended. He could then call the thought police, who would send someone in to check and make sure these adults are only being exposed to what I presume would be Carson approved discussions.

Seriously, if I had a child who was sick and needed a brain operation, I think Carson may be a great choice. But in this instance, he sounds simply insane.

Ben Carson suggested on Wednesday that the Department of Education and other government agencies should secretly enter classrooms, libraries and other government offices to track instances of political bias and inefficiency.

Carson, a Republican presidential candidate, was responding to a question from The Des Moines Register’s editorial board regarding prior statements he’s made calling for federal monitoring of colleges and universities for political bias.

“Basically, when complaints are heard, you know, from students or from other faculty members, you would go in and investigate,” Carson said. “You can do that rather surreptitiously.”

As an example of the need for such an action, Carson noted a 2013 incident at Florida Atlantic University, in which a teacher in an intercultural communications class instructed students to write the word “Jesus” on a sheet of paper and then step on it. Students’ hesitation to do so was intended to spark a conversation on the importance of symbols, but led to death threats against the teacher and calls for his firing.

When pressed by an editorial writer whether surreptitious federal investigations into college classroom discussions would amount to policing people’s thoughts, Carson answered that such action is appropriate any time federal money is involved.

“I think when we’re talking about federal taxpayer dollars going to an institution that is educating our children, I don’t care whether the extreme political bias is coming from the right or the left, it shouldn’t be there,” Carson said.

There would be “guidelines” for such investigations to follow, Carson said, before endorsing similar secret monitoring of other public agencies.

“I believe in the secret shopper concept for all government agencies,” he said. “I believe that there should be people out there who are acting as consumers and seeing if we are taking care of them appropriately.”

He went on, “Not just classrooms and libraries, but anything that the taxpayers are paying for. We ought to be monitoring it and making sure it is done appropriat

And the "conservatives" still love Carson because he is their token colored man. Neo-cons love big government just like the lib.
