    All these representations of Jesus which depict him as having long, flowing, blonde hair, and blue eyes come down to us because those pasta-slurping Catholic-Italians monopolized the early years of the Christian-church and created these bizarre representations of Christ. The real Jesus was probably small hairy and dark-skin.

    Jesus was a Jew so he probably looked like an Arab with olive skin and brown eyes.. Why do you think he was small?

    Weren't the average men in those days smaller than the average men of this post-modern epoch? The average height for a man in America these days is 5'10''. So Jesus was probably 5'7'' or so.

    When I was a Christian the images of Jesus I saw had him depicted with brown hair not blond.

    He still had hippy hair.

    The average Roman was about 5'3. Since Jesus was from one of the most impoverished regions of the empire, he was probably a bit shorter than that.

    I am not religious. I believe man (not a God) called Jesus may have lived. Given the geographical area and time in history he is very unlikely to have blonde hair and blue eyes and be he a God or a man, his appearance and race shouldn't matter.

    Well, given that Jesus is from Israel and Israelis are white then Jesus must have been white, that's just simple logic like Australians are white therefore ancient Australians were white. We all know that population migration is a myth and ppl are static and never leave their basements. Isn't that right margot

    Most likely not, but the people in those days were probably not as brown as some people would have us believe.

    People did a lot of walking in those days. So likely he was pretty cut.

    (Cutting means intentionally trying to lose weight so that the definition of the muscles will show through the skin. A lot of bodybuilders for example will go through repeated cycles of bulking and cutting)

    My guess..... would be that an artistically inclined monk wrote this and ascribed it to Pilate........... but that of course is only a guess........

    ive only ever seen blonde/blue Jesus in internet memes, never in any of the many christian establishments or homes that I've visited.

    why do you think this representation is common enough to warrant your attention?
