So in all science and its vast advancements there still is not singular thought on how we came into being...hm...go science!

Yes there is evil in this world. There are those who claim Christianity who perform evil, but anyone can claim faith and do the same, it doesn't mean Jesus is to blame or that He was "okay with those acts. Once again, everyone is given freedom of choice, freedom to choose Jesus or not, free to do whatever in life, but those who choose the right path are those who are blessed.

Maybe you are on the same side as Hitler(one who trashes Christianity's name by claiming it and making it seem terrible) and the Anti-Christ fighting that same fight, scary thought.

I think it would be best if we no longer communicate.

Actually, there IS quite a bit of thought on this....the prominent theory being Abiogenesis. Fundamental aspects of this have been shown as possible through experimentation and actually created the basic components within all life...we shall see over the next decades what transpires. I would request that you provide the data that supports the creation story (the Christian one, not one of the thousand other versions) other than the book as I have already read that.

Ok, I'll pretend I'm like Jesus is today (i.e. never listening to people - never answering their prayers, and never communicating with them or helping them at all)....I'll go full Jesus.

    - - - Updated - - -

But Jesus can use his hand as a whistle, and you can't, so Jesus has got your there, I'm afraid.

If you think you can live a life of sin, and only call on Jesus when you want something, you better think again. Man says, show me Jesus and I'll trust you. Jesus says, trust me and I'll show you.

Please realize that the reason you replied that way is because Christians can't answer my question ("please tell us how one differentiates between any of those 3 and the unscientific happenings, in, say, Middle Earth or Narnia")....as a former Christian myself I know, and that's one reason I'm a Modern Secular Humanist now - Christianity has too many internal quandaries that can't be answered logically. But if the FEAR is strong enough (fear of "hell"), then one is willing to overlook logic - Jesus/NT knew that, that's why he introduced "hell", which is arguably more fear-inducing than the "Sheol" of the OT. Jesus was the fear-master.

I don't sin. I believe in science and morality - I'm not perfect, but I don't deserve savage torture as my reward for not believing in some invisible magic dead guy who completely disappeared 2000 years ago and hates, say, Hindus so much that he refuses to let them into his magic invisible elitist bigoted country club in the sky.

The choice is yours, the facts weather you believe them or not, is there is only two places to go after death. If you want to believe that after you die is the same as before you were born, just non existent, that's up to you. It does not change the facts.

Once again...a theory is not fact, I would think that you science proponents would know that by now and stop using "theories" as a point. And your use of the word "thought" does not validate your case. All I am saying is if there are two sides with no obvious proof for the other side, why are you and guys like FreedomSeeker trying so hard to have the other side jump ship, when they could be very well jumping onto the wrong ship. Posting a controversial topic like this on a Political site trying to bolster views and ratings or however this site works...I'm new to forums...seems so petty. FreedomSeeker's goal in posting this thread was to incite anger, bring up a possible argument/debate and possibly even hoping to swing Christians here to think his way. Like I said before, if it turns out that God is real, then you and Freedom are on the same side as Anti-Christ and are on that same ship.

Here is another thought. Let's say that God is real, then we Christians would have made the right choice and the others...the wrong. Then let's say that there is no God, then we die...we die...no one is right or wrong. Is it not worse to think that when you die you absolutely have zero chance?

I would rather be on my deathbed having no regrets and fear then dead and end up regretting it for all eternity in hell.

If you don't believe in Jesus that's fine, but don't act like a little kid towards those who do.

You don't have to worry about savage torture, if you believe there is nothing after death, but stop trying to conform others to your belief which is based off of theories and scientific thought with no hard evidence. Christianity is about Faith, so there is no point in trying to ascertain tangible proof. If there was hard proof to Christianity for everyone in the world to see then there we be no point to Faith. Yes my God may be invisible now, but it is because he chooses to do so. I will see him when I am in Heaven. You are free to join :) I'd love to see you there someday.

This is not a fact it's an assumption... nothing more!

And if you want to believe that a god who insisted on his own death as he poses as his own son is anything close to logical, reasonable, believable or realistic... "that's up to you"

These are not facts they are assumptions!

About a year ago I read a story about Yeshua -Jesus's harp being sold to finance the education of his twin brother Judas Didymus Thomas!

This is actually an excellent question and I spent much of my shift at work yesterday mulling over the implications of this in my own life.

My dad passed on January 1, 1990.

I had been fasting on Yom Kippur since the '70's when I was a teenager due to the teachings of Evangelist Garner Ted Armstrong.

I had came to the conclusion that somebody needed to compete with Barabbas or Bar Abbas..... who did not seem to have fully volunteered for the role he played out as a metaphorical "goat for Azazel"......…

    Mat 27:17

    Matthew 27:20

So I decided....... that although it would be a dirty job....... somebody needed to do it.... so I submitted my application to the G-d of Abraham/ HaShem/ YHWH for the role of another "goat for Azazel" ..... somewhat like Barabbas/ Bar Abbas?!

I had became vehemently disappointed with Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus to have settled for some sort of "many are called/ few are chosen" scenario that had a broad way leading to destruction...… and many entering in thereat..... and a narrow way leading to life...… and few finding it........ and I decided to go all out .......... go over the head of Messiah Yeshua - Jesus - Issa and appeal directly to the Ancient of Days who Rabbi Yeshua stated was "greater than him."

I explained this whole thing to Orthodox Jewish Sanhedrin Rabbi Yeshayahu Hollander back in 2010 in posts #1 and #4 here...…

    http://tate4centralnova.yuku.com/topic/383/My-correspondence-with-Rabbi#.VgIO6bSJSOw

    ...............…

After he ascended to heaven and was give......."all power in heaven and on earth" and after "all judgment" had been committed to him......"the son of man"......… Messiah Yeshua - Jesus led Roman armies to besiege Jerusalem.........… and destroy the Second Jerusalem Temple the foundation of which had been laid by Zerubbabel..........

One of my goals is to get the Jerusalem Third Temple rebuilt...… and protect it for a minimum of one thousand years........... even after I die..........

    http://www.politicalforum.com/relig...ay-least-expensive-way-stabilize-climate.html

Rebuilding of Jerusalem Third Temple may be least expensive way to stabilize climate?

    ..................…

So....... in the minds of some Jewish scholars ....... within a century or two....... the name Dennis Tate, might well be more respected than even that of Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus - Issa.....??????????

..... Strangely enough though....... it is like all my sins and flaws.....and foolishness of my 56 years is being turned around to have great value.......... and in my opinion it is Messiah Yeshua - Jesus....... in his glorified form who is doing this.......... not me........ I am kind of an idiot!!!!!!!!!!

Wrong again and here is why.

If I made the claim that blue dogs circle our solar system and then provide no proof but insist it is truth... that is an assumption not a fact

    Here is another example.

If I claim there is a god then provide no proof but insist it is the truth... that is an assumption not a fact.

    Pretty simple eh?

Actually.... if the near death experience account of Ms. Jan Price...… is as close to truth as she could write..... and if..... the near death experience account of Mr. Christian Andreason is as close to truth as he could write … Then..... there probably are thousands if not millions if not billions of higher dimensional former dogs..... with a blue aura........ running around pretty much every planet and star both in this galaxy..... as well as perhaps in the majority of other galaxies??????!

My intention is not now nor will ever be to attempt to quantify this reality by giving examples of others "stories" of their other assumed realities.

Assumptions - really hypothesis - may be true, may not be true. A hypothesis is based on incomplete evidence, it starts with the available evidence and extrapolates.

With God, there is no conclusive, objective proof that he exists or does not exist. From a strictly scientific perspective in which emotion is removed, no scientist can eliminate God from the available options.

At the individual level, since there are so many intangibles with God and people, some people will examine their life, the lives of people around them, the available evidence, and make a personal conclusion that God exists. Other people will conclude God does not exist, others will be uncertain, and others will avoid the subject.

The idea that belief in God is irrational or the product of blind faith or requires the abandonment of science is ridiculous. If a person believes that God created the Universe, then science is simply the understanding of God's world. 2+2 still equals 4, subatomic particles still exist, organisms still adapt to conditions, almost nothing has changed between a Christian scientist and a secular scientist except the origin of life.

If the word "hypothesis" makes this easier for you then fine. However the point remains.

I have a hypothesis it is "blue dogs circle our solar system" and the only way you can convince me other wise is you have to prove it's not true!

If no one "hypothesized" gods existence we wouldn't be having this discussion as I'm not inclined to discuss subjects that have never been created, assumed or hypothesized.

    So why claim it does?
