Why wouldn't I? I don't have a daughter, but if I did, I would raise her the same as I did my sons. She would be taught morals, manners, and to respect authority. She would also be taught that there are consequences for her actions, something too many kids these days don't know.

Probably because of all the sweet little angels that attend the school.

Yet again, if it was my daughter flaying around disobeying police officer I would be siding with the officer and she would have been grounded for months.

Which is why my daugheter would have never done something so stupid as that little brat,

Well it is a moot conversation since you don't have any daughters. Of course you are going to teach them morals, manners and to respect others. That is not what I am talking about and you know it.

    - - - Updated - - -

That is what makes the world go around all kids are not the same and all kids are not taught the same. Of course she would be grounded for months, but sorry I am not buying that BS of you would have sided with the officer had you saw him treat your 12yr old daughter in this manner.

I don't really care what you would buy or not. Fact is the girl disobeyed the police officer and that is something that kids should not be taught to do. I support the police officer subduing a suspect, yes a suspect, when that suspect is disobeying and flaying around like a crazy person and disobeying direct orders.

let's be clear... he wasn't fired for the move... he was fired for falsifying a report. Of course, if you feared you'd lose your job for the move... you may spin a slightly different version of events. It's human nature to spin. But bottom line, he didn't report the incident factually

I wouldn't have a problem with that. If my daughter was getting in to a fight and not listen to the cops, I would back that officer 100%. And this is coming form someone who has a daughter and a older brother in law enforcement.

No, nothing in the article indicates that to be the case. It's rather vague, with him being "fired Monday for his “absolutely unwarranted” conduct".

I tell you this forum has some of the biggest hypocrites and liars running, there is no way in hell they would stand for their 12yr old daughter being body slammed face first into the concrete.

Fine doubt me. Unlike some parents, I don't make excises for my child.

I don't make any for mine either and I am also not going to lie about how I wouldn't have a problem with a LEO slamming my 12yr old daughter face first into the concrete.

I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure most LEOs can handle a 12yr old girl without subjecting her to that kind of treatment.

IF my daughter is the reason behind it, no I don't have a problem. Now, if it wasn't and the cop just came up and did that w/o reason then yea that would be an issue.

Give me the reason a cop needs to slam a 12yr old girl face first into concrete or better yet please tell me how she posed a threat to him that he needed to do that.

Same here in my growing up yrs - this behavior from kids just didn't happen.....but I'll admit I do have a problem w/a grown man not knowing how to handle a 12 yr old girl except to body slam her face down on the concrete. I find it really disturbing that that's the only way this adult male could get control of a 12 yr old female.

Is this how he would handle or discipline his own 12 yr old daughter?

Yeah, obviously this girl hasn't been taught a thing about showing respect to authorities and she's going to have a hard lesson to learn, but body slamming her, this kind of violence isn't going to teach her anything, except to hate.

I would suggest that a grown man/cop learn how to handle a 12 yr old 110# girl w/o having to body slam her face down on concrete. Maybe he needs more training on how to get a 12 yr old kid under control and slap the handcuffs on her and into the squad car.....

Grown MEN and I don't care who they are do not body slam KIDS!

Looks like the girl and the other kids in the video thought this was a game.

You do NOT disobey police officers, PERIOD.

Sounds like that kid needed a dose of reality and she got it.

Hope the cop keeps his job, if there is no foul play and the video tells the story.

Kids who act that way towards authoritative figures have parents who never taught them a damn thing about showing respect and that's why they are the way they are.....respectful behavior starts at home......

If my 12 yr old daughter's father body clammed her, his ass would be in jail. There's no way I'd tolerate that kind of violence against my kids.

And kudos to you! You loved your kids enuf to teach them what they need to know. Problem is, most parents now don't waste their time teaching their kids what you and I and others have taught ours and it's not the fault of the kids who have parents who don't give a damn about their kids disgusting behavior. And unfortunately, those kids, like this girl will have to learn their lesson the hard way........

But meanwhile, grown MEN do NOT body slam 12 yr old GIRLS.

Where do you think? This behavior starts in the HOME. Never taught what's acceptable or not, never disciplined, and on and on.......

Then to top it off, parent(s) don't care what kind of kids their kid runs around with.....talk about adding fuel to the fire.

There's a saying that's very true that parents need to wake up to...

"Show me your friends and I'll show you your future......"

No she didn't need that type of dose of reality. If LEOs can't manage a 12 yr old girl without body slamming her face first into concrete then he probably doesn't need to be a LEO.

you don't have the right to legally detain the girl... the cop did, and she resisted and was put down in order to get the volatile situation under control

Yes, I've read that excuse thru-out this thread and there's still the glaring fact that a grown man, 3x's her size and weight can't figure out how to handle a 110# `12 yr old girl except to body slam her onto the concrete......so much for a man's muscle and strength, huh? There's men out there who would be downright embarrassed if people tho't that was the only way they could handle a small-built girl......just body slam her!

A friend who's a retired sheriff is out of town right now. When he gets back, I'm going to ask him his opinion about this and I already know what he's going to say, which will not be in favor of this cop and his limited ability to handle a 12 yr old kid.........
