Will you use the rest room at Target?

My understanding of Target's previous rest room policies are not the issue here. Was there something extraordinary about them that I missed?

Don't tell me you don't understand why men and women had their own separate rest room facilities.

I have used a woman's bathroom when I've had to take a crap, but I almost always try to hold it, unless it's an emergency

If this law goes through, does that mean I shouldn't have to wait in line anymore? If I really need to blow it up, can I just blow up the ladies' room?

Many years ago before all this became an issue, I once went to a rather large restaurant in Central New York and had to use the bathroom (it was well past the normal dinner hour). The rest rooms were far apart from the dining area and the walk area into them was very dark. Unknown to me I accidentally walked into the ladys room. Luckily both lavatories were single use only so that no one else could have walked in. As it happened it seemingly took half an hour for me to empty my bladder. But thankfully nobody saw me enter or leave the room.

I kept saying to myself Oh what a relief it is! and have been laughing to myself about it all these 35+ years.

 

Haha I've had that feeling every time I've had to do it.

I think we just need to have some commonsense on this issue, but our country is no longer capable of that.

To me there is a huge difference between a real man dressed as a woman, as opposed to a real transgendered. The transgendered was born that way, that's just who they are. The man thinks a change of clothes and an idea changes his gender. This is a fantasy or fetish taken complete control of the individual. We need to be very careful here. However I will say, "Love thy neighbor as thyself"---God "Love your enemies, pray for them"---Jesus.

 

Honestly, I don't care about the issue that much, but I like how much it upsets people on both sides, so I find it amusing. This is something tht should be addressed at the local level, not a national policy debate.

I went ahead and checked out the Wikipedia page on transsexuals, and they account for a whopping 1/50,000 people. In other words, this debate is largely irrelevant either way.

 

Unless you was one of them.

 

Everything has an opportunity cost, and every minute we spend talking about this statistically insignificant issue is time that could be sent addressing something else.

 

If you was one of them, how would you feel about going into a women's or men's restroom? Either one you would feel out of place. I do understand what your saying though. I am not one for sympathy or sensitivity. People are way to sensitive now a days. They're feel bads get hurt way to easy. But in this particular area we are talking about people who have been born deformed, or unnatural. They have had to put up with this their entire life, and I can truly see how it would effect them, both in public and merely in their head.

I will say they are not soulless. They do have a soul. So satan has a pretty easy way with them, at least I would assume. He could have them thinking, "look at yourself, you think God would do this"? When satan knows it is his evil and illness that causes such atrocities. For no transgender will be found in Heaven. They will receive a new body like everybody else.

I only bring God into this, because God is everything. Completely overlooked and underappreciated.

I get what you are saying, and I definitely feel bad for people in those communities. I think we should let them do it if they feel this strongly about it, but I'm just surprised at all the attention it's getting. Given the number of people who actually qualify, the odds of someone even going to the bathroom at the same time as a transsexual are pretty slim.

The conservatives are definitely freaking out too much, but I'm not going to start voting Democrat over the issue.

 

Wait until the college football team enters the ladies restroom en mass and hang out there. Why is Target making changes that will result in problems? When you disrupt 99% of the people just to satisfy 1% of the people you have driven your PC wagon over the cliff.

It is not the trans gender people but the male sexual deviants who could use this excuse to get into the Ladies restroom.

 

The instances in Canada were at other places as Canada already allows this.

Search it in google. I am just saying that sexual deviants will be able to use this to get into a ladies room.

 

I never suggested to boycott Target. Just putting it out there.

Letting men into a ladies room, I am sure some will get in who are not truly trans.

Target is a big store and this is an issue with many sides. Men using women bathrooms may have been better-thks but quite the response for this newbie.

I don't think that the men who have been wanting to go into women's restrooms in order to cause trouble have just been waiting for the moment they could pose as transsexuals. Restroom entrances aren't staffed with guards that check each person's genitals before they can enter. If a man intends to go into a woman's restroom in order to cause trouble, he can do so with or without permission. With any luck, such a man will try such a thing when an actual transsexual is in there and see what kinda ass-whooping he gets.
