To me, he was a failed dictator and military leader, and he embraced a twisted, hateful ideology that failed to respect human life, and in fact destroyed it on a massive scale for some ideological "greater good." Where is the good in that? It was old-fashioned, barbaric thinking even in the 1930s and '40s.
