The kid recognized him as a local meth head. I can't see why anyone's upset because he got shot. Liberals hate to be held accountable for their actions. Now how is he going to get his money for his meth if people are going to start shooting every time he breaks in?
Those that harm others for criminal intent shouldn't get any more rights than they would have back when the Constitution was signed.
Rural Ohio, land is cheap and I bought a lot of it the last few years. (Around 200 acres total) I've owned a few strange breeds in my life, even a Tibetan mastiff we picked up from the Ross Co humane society. I'm actually going through 70Lbs of feed a week on both of them. GS's and Ovtcharkas are undoubtedly my favorites, they are reliable dogs. **Note, At his 1 Year vets visit, he weighed 196 lbs, it's been 4 months since then and he's gotten a lot bigger.
No doubt about it. All 11-year-olds in the US should be required to carry ay least one gun at all times, everywhere.
If you are defending yourself and the bullet misses the perp and injured someone else, I'm pretty sure the perp is still at fault since he caused the incident. Fleeing could be a different story, I'm unsure of how the courts would handle it.
we have a legal system, and sentances, that is how we punish people, not by takig away their 1st or 2nd Amendment rights after their sentance is complete you want longer punishments, you do it at the sentancing level, not punish a 11 year old kid for their parents past mistakes .
good thing its a kids, if hes an adult, they might charge him since the guy was outside and RUNNING AWAY. there few case where homeowner chase the burglar outside and shot them, only later been charged for attempt murder or manslaughter.
One hears far too much about all the children who are shot by guns or accidentally shoot others, including that two-year-old shooting his mother to death recently. It's refreshing when the exception is hyped.
Yea I figure if the person was facing me it would give me somewhat of a free pass. Fleeing I would be in trouble.
Again it would depend if he has already (A. Fired a shot at you) or (B. Is firing at you while retreating) Those two instances, pretty sure you're still alright. Now if he didn't threaten you and took off, different story.
Not in Texas. We are responsible for every round that leaves our guns. If you hit an innocent bystander, it's on you. We have pretty good gun laws in TX considering other states. I have no problem with this. Their may be some leniency by a sympathetic jury or DA, but the law says you own each bullet.
It's amazing how many people think shooting is like in video games . But then you take them to the gun range and they see it's not as easy as it would seem.
So if an assailant struggles for your gun and it goes off killing Tony down the street you are responsible for it? Serious question, if so, that's kind of (*)(*)(*)(*)ty IMO.
Still the question of whether you want anyone with a gun to have the right to be the judge jury and executioner BTW where is the evidence??? - - - Updated - - - No your gun you should take responsibility
If you are attacked, and in reasonable threat of injury, then yes, if you have the means, you are all three. Aim well.
If we are struggling for the gun and it goes off, I can argue that the other guy did it. I like my odds in that argument. I've been background checked 6 ways to Sunday by every federal agency in the alphabet and have no criminal record with a spotless record of military service and several years carrying a gun without incident.
Bowerbird, a Utopian dreamer. When will people learn we are only as civil as the society around us allows. That's human nature, if the people around us get violent for any reason we in turn will become violent. Say people begin to riot for food in a hunger driven scenario, if you are hungry you will join that mob. The same is true for one on one scenarios, it's called "Evolution" and usually bible thumpers are the only ones to believe in the opposite of that sort of deal.
I think ex felons should get their second amendment rights back. When and only when they have completed their entire sentence which includes parole and complete financial restitution to the victim which also includes law enforcement costs.
