Why does every conservative think all teachers are propagandists? Oh, right... because they send their kids to religious schools.

 

Why is that so hard to believe? I can manage to teach about a political issue without ever letting my students know where I stand on that issue. I did so recently with a current event class concerning transgender bathrooms. I presented them with the most nonbiased article I could find which spelled out well both sides of the argument and then let them discuss among themselves on the issue. Some went with one side; some with the other, but their opinions came from what they read, not what I told them, and at the end of the class, even though they begged to know how I felt about it, I just smiled and explained the homework assignment (an unrelated short story) for last few minutes until the bell rang.

Conservatives might understand what it means to be a good teacher if they stopped sending their children to religious propaga--I mean, private schools.

I'd like to know why it is that rabid, ideological, right wing pundits insist fascism is a product of progressive governments? Seems to me, that in history, fascism was tied to very right wing, nationalist governments, who butchered and drove out leftists.
