WASHINGTON/SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - The computer network used by Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign was hacked as part of a broad cyber attack on Democratic political organizations, people familiar with the matter told Reuters.

The hack appears to have been carried out by Russian intelligence services, a federal law enforcement official told the New York Times.

The latest attack, which was disclosed to Reuters on Friday, follows reports of two other hacks on the Democratic National Committee, or DNC, and the party’s fundraising committee for candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives.

A Clinton campaign spokesman said in a statement late on Friday that an analytics data program maintained by the DNC and used by the campaign and a number of other entities “was accessed as part of the DNC hack.”

“Our campaign computer system has been under review by outside cyber security experts. To date, they have found no evidence that our internal systems have been compromised,” said Clinton campaign spokesman Nick Merrill.

The U.S. Department of Justice national security division is investigating whether cyber attacks on Democratic political organizations threatened U.S. security, sources familiar with the matter said on Friday.

The emails were not "hacked." They were leaked by a Bernie Sanders supporter at the DNC in data entry in voter registration. The DNC was not processing the registration of people who signed up under DNC voter registration drives if the said they were voting for Sanders when polled. Just in NYC over 300,000 newly registered Sanders voters were denied voting as their voter registration had not been processed.

The Wikileaks founder had stated he had DNC emails, but had not yet released them, stating the emails came from a source within the DNC. Unfortunately, this pointed at Seth Rich and so as a living witness against massive voter registration crimes at the DNC and of how the election was stolen from Sanders he had to be killed - and was. Clinton's rise to power and wealth is a path of murders and violent deaths of anyone poising risk to her.

This also is why Democrat primary voter numbers were historically low - literally millions of Sanders voters were prevented from voting. In return, Clinton rewarded the head of the DNC by making her the chairwoman of her campaign.

Seth Rich also was Jewish and learned the DNC's plans to attack Sanders for being Jewish and an atheist. It is known Seth Rich has access to the email accounts as the divulged emails includes emails by him.

Sadly, when it was revealed the leaked emails were internal to the DNC it directly pointed at Seth Rich as he used that email account, had access to the voter registration files, was a Sanders supporter, and accordingly also living witness to massive criminal conspiracy in voter registration fraud. He HAD to be killed and quickly - and he was.

Russians had nothing to do with it. That is just totally made up out of thin air by Democrats. It was DNC computer staffer and Sanders supporter and murdered Jewish Seth Rich who leaked the emails.

Fearmongering...but Hillary does have a history of not securing her emails, doesn't she? Now her campaign was hacked and the DNC. Should we trust Democrats with ANYTHING given their history of not securing anything they put on computers? I read where big donors' accounts were hacked with this including Soros and Steyer and the DNC did not tell them until it leaked. Can you imagine how angry they must be that all their personal info is out there? No one but Dems own this...

IMO, that "invitation to spy" is among Trump's baddest blunders, along with rewarding violence at the start of the campaign. It is simply not defensible, and a proof that Trump's presidency will be a catastrophe.

On the bright side, even the second Bush will look like an acceptable presidency afterwards.

From what I saw trump didn't invite anyone to spy. He opined that whoever has the hacked emails should turn them over to the media.
Why do you believe that would be beneficial to Trump? Trump can hire his own yoga instructor if he so chooses.
