    Block mason,Flooring,Wallpaper,Painting,Roofing,Landscaping,Drywall,Concrete.

All those trades have been diminished by illegals.

The illegals get jobs because they work for much less per person.

Then the fat white guy that runs the crew makes out like a bandit.

It all boils down to greed in the end.

In case you can't tell I've witnessed this firsthand.

Oh,and the quality of Mexican labor is less than real skilled tradesmen.

Yes, well I see you're foregoing paying your electricity and internet service to feed the hungry.
Legals will have noooo trouble finding a job earning $7.25 or more an hour.

    And you're right.

BUT... as a homeowner for many years, I have witnessed the change not only on who has been doing those jobs - but more importantly - how the quality of those jobs has taken a dive since illegal immigrants have replaced the trained Americans who are no longer around.

    Eyeroll.
Trained roofers, painters, cement layers and such?
All homes have to pass inspection. Builders aren't going to employ folks that hurt business.

I'd say in the city of Detroit, which stands testament to the devastion caused by NAFTA, and corporate tax rates, they'd like to see their auto industry jobs return. Chrysler, Friday announced that it will no longer produce cars in the US. Now it may be only coincidence that Chrysler made this announcement on the heels of HRC proclaiming she would make corps. "pay their fair share", but I wonder how many CEO's think HRC's proposed 45% tax rate constitutes "fair". As for immigrants, if they want US jobs, they simply have to return home ...

That pass inspection and sell? Haha.
Why blame the profiteers and not the buyers?
    Everyone's a victim, huh?
Are you familiar with survival of the fittest?

I wouldn't mind having the job of night watchman brought back. It's been taken over by closed-circuit TV cameras. When I was a night watchman, I got to sit around and read comic books all night. Now I have to read them on my own time.

Yes the unscrupulous white guy as able to drive all legitimate competition out of the market. Then they start jacking up prices. Legal people both domestic and immigrant can't get jobs and the illegal companies make money hand over fist and the Obama justice department does Jack (*)(*)(*)(*).

In Detroit Ford was the only manufacturer that didn't take a government bailout. They restructured and are profitable today.
Business isn't about fair. It's about profit, sales, strategy.
Life isn't fair. Never has been.

This is just my take on the situation, but manufacturing jobs that didn't require higher education, but paid a middle class level wage, are the jobs that many would like to see return to America… or jobs that have those same two qualifications that aren't manufacturing. However, I do not see those types of jobs returning to America.

America's niche in the world is innovation. Hopefully, our innovators will get on with innovatin', and put people back to work soon. That's not bringing jobs back, but rather creating new industries and new jobs.

I can't really intelligently answer your questions on how illegal Mexicans find jobs in America now, because most of the illegals in my area left when the housing market slowed. They were being employed in construction in my area back when housing was booming.

Mexicans in my county left in droves after new construction here stalled.
Manufacturing is shrinking due to technology and it certainly doesn't pay a middle-class wage.
    It never will again.

Lazy leftists have this idea of an economy that is only skilled jobs armies of engineers. Here is the thing. I am an engineer. Most ideological leftists I meet are too (*)(*)(*)(*)ing stupid to ever get an engineering degree.

As a coach I can tell you that mist people are not true college material. They should have a wrench in their hands and that includes most leftist. Most people simply aren't smart enough for this high tech economy stupid leftist dream of. Half of all people have below average intelligence. A high tech economy only really serves the top 10% in natural intellect abs then those people have to have drive. Not ever smart person I went to school with got their degree they simply didn't have the drive.

So you are looking for an answer to your question, but when you get the answer you just roll your eyes and refuse to believe it. You didn't make this thread in hopes of discussion, you made this thread to antagonise and belittle those with a different political opinion than you... and to display your lack of knowledge on the subject that you made a thread about.

Americans want manufacturing jobs brought back. Illegals have an advantage because they charge less for their labor and can't complain to the government when their employer breaks the labor laws. You should be embarrassed for not knowing any of this.

I started 25 years ago selling used cars. Now I buy directly from the auction and sell them from home. I also sell vintage guitars and amps.

One would be sewing. When my kids were little there was a nice children's clothing outlet in Hummelstown where we could get beautiful little cotton dresses for our DD at affordable prices, and it provided work for many local women with sewing skills.

Another of course is steel. Most of our steel mills in Steelton were shut down because of foreign competition, and retirees from there even lost much of their pensions.

If we don't start returning these jobs to the country pretty soon we won't be able to, as the more highly skilled workers that traditionally handed down their skills to younger workers are dying off. Since many of our elite only study liberal arts, law, or similar subjects they are too disconnected from the realities of the material world to realize that tangible production requires just as much intelligence and skill, if not more, than paper and verbal pursuits.

This is also a huge national security issue. Trump is one of the few US leaders that seems to understand this.

Political opinion? I've mentioned nothing about politics in this thread.
Americans spell antagonize with a z.
If you had mentioned payroll taxes, insurance, or profit margin, maybe you'd be worth talking to. But...you didn't...and you spelled antagonize like a European.

Fair enough to say, but the motivations for corporate out-sourcing, tax inversions, relocations, and offshore holdings are high taxes, and inequitable trading policies. The auto industry in particular, employed many semi-skilled workers who earned far in excess of what salaries their limited skill sets command elsewhere in the jobs market. Disagree?

Manufacturing is being outsourced to other countries. I have seen it with my own eyes. I walked thru a Chrysler engine plan in Mexico where robots were idle with many Mexicans doing the job.
