Agreed, this does reek of institutionalized racism against Whites.

It's the thinking which got her into trouble. The SJWs don't want anyone doing that, in the same way Fundamentalist pastors don't want their congregants thinking. It's all about the feels !

Ultimately, there is no place for thought in a safe space, there is only room for posturing and virtue signalling. It's like a little stage upon which children with a penchant for attention seeking act out their micro dramas ... brought on by the misfortune of having enabling idiots for parents.

I looked into this much deeper.

I first went to the university site to see if they were discussing this.

Nope, the university has not put out a notice.

I then looked at this site.

This by a graduate of that school.

It's no surprise at all that she's a Chemical Engineering student. She's actually studying something useful and practical.

What's the bet the majority of the lynch mob are 'humanities' students. (*)(*)(*)(*)ing useless whining brats. But I still blame the parents :)

I agree about the appeals process, yet it's sad any college group would attempt to enforce group think, even though it does happen frequently.

But you know what. Those humanities students pay the same tuition and cost the school a lot less. It costs a lot of money to educate students in real sciences. Those labs and elite professors cost a lot of money. Humanities cost next to nothing so they are a major cash cow for greedy administrators. And those departments know it which is why they yield such disproportionate power.

    Orwell and Ludlum were right.
That is just a sad state of affairs there.
    I would consider a lawsuit.

Saying all lives matter gets a person essentially hated by the student body. But for no other reason than color, people can march through college libraries and disturb students, they can shut down highways and cause misery for hundreds of people, they can chant death threats to cops, they can steal the microphone out of a presidential candidate's hand, they can barge in on Clinton and make demands, and they get invited to the White House - all based on color. People of any other color would get arrested if they did those things.

So it seems the University of Houston believes only black lives matters, no one else. Not brown, yellow, red or white. Just black. Cool

    Check this out:

There are strengths and advantages that a degree in fields such as History, Linguistics, and Political Science hold that STEM degrees do not. Humanities majors encourage analysis, critical-thinking, and a vast knowledge of various topics.

Probably. But I still blame parents. What idiots they must be, to agree to fund three or four years of studying 'gender', or poetry. Are they determined to turn their otherwise good and productive children into soft bellied unemployables? That's devolution, right there. Mom & dad worked hard and productively, enabling them to fund college, then made the grand mistake of agreeing to something which would effectively lower the standard they worked hard to set.

    - - - Updated - - -

And how does that 'vast knowledge' translate to salary, please?

Also, there's a difference between things like political science and linguistics (both of which have well paid practical applications) and 'womens studies'. A HUGE difference.

We've been asking that question for a long time but no one seems to know the answer. Other than getting a job teaching the drivel you just learned or maybe in a museum somewhere, I don't see many employers looking to hire people who studied Native American culture.

McDonalds always needs kids prepared to clean out the grease trap for $7 an hour. They can think about Native American culture while they're doing it.

While simultaneously congratulating themselves on having avoided any of those luddite degrees like accountancy, or engineering. Because they will Know Stuff ... about Stuff.

This reminds me of the time I went to get my eyes checked a few months ago. The girl who set up the equipment and took my info was telling me that she wasn't working in her chosen field, and I asked her what that was. She said she had a degree in history, and when I asked she said WWII. I then asked her what part, Europe or Pacific and she said Europe. When I finally asked her all my questions I learned she has a degree in how the Nazis were able to manufacture military hardware and resupply themselves throughout the war. I was not going to insult her by asking how much her degree cost.

She should have just opted for optometry. She'd be working in the same place, but at a higher salary. Plus she'd have saved herself three years, and her parents $100k. One wonders how these people survive, with such tiny brains.

Why go to an other university? The university has nothing to do with it.
This only has to do with the Student Government Association.

If universities can come down hard on fraternities then they can come down hard on student associations.

What, to be a spineless camp follower? To hill with people that make their nerves so raw with mental masturbation.
