Right-wing extremists are a bigger threat to U.S. than ISIS

For all those paper patriots talking about rising up and overthrowing the government. Take off your tinfoil hats and read a bit.

That's Law Enforcement groups saying that.

Right wing ideologies, based off of ignorance and fear, seemed to really gain ground in 2009. Coincidence? I think not. Tinfoil hat conspiracies, fear, insecurities, and rampant racism have fueled the rise of home grown terrorists. The good news is that law enforcement realizes and monitors these right wing whakcadoodle groups. Our education system has clearly failed these paranoid lunatics. Patriots? Nope.

 

Oh, that argument, again.

First, let me explain the motivation behind it. White, left-wing progressives feel really "icky" about the fact that most domestic terrorist attacks are committed by non-white, non-Christian minority members who usually vote Democrat. This "icky" feeling causes them to find a way to redirect the narrative and focus back to the left's enemy - the white male Christian bogeyman, which ideally is the villain behind every story, since it helps the left advance it's anti-white, anti-Western, anti-Christian agenda.

What we see is that Muslims, who comprise about 1% of the US population, are committing the same amount of terrorist attacks as the "right-wing", who comprises nearly half the country. This difference in population is never accounted for in the left-wing argument, which we can see in the OP. Another fact that is never mentioned in the left-wing narrative is that there have been tens of thousands of Islamic terror attacks around the world since 9/11/2001, and increases on an almost daily basis. "Right-wing" attacks are exceptionally rare.

Despite the facts, progressives would greatly prefer that people fear the right-wing white male more than the brown-skinned Muslim Democratic voter, for obvious political reasons.

 

I must have missed the posts of the forum members who stated they are going to overthrow the government. Was that in another part of the forum?

At any rate, could you link to some of these posts where people are saying they are going to overthrow the government? My guess is that there aren't very many.

The only posts I can remember reading that are along those lines are from the likes of resisting arrest (a communist) who doesn't seem to say he is going to overthrow the government but simply asserts that it will happen.

 

They're definitely dangerous. Never can be too cautious of some right winger like timothy mcveigh out there all upset because they have to pay taxes or stop at stop signs. Right wingers are just as dangerous as ISIS, that's for sure. The DHS is not lying.

They're only as dangerous if you ignore the data that shows otherwise with respect to body count ,and ignore the population differences between the two groups. Like you do, for political reasons. See post #2.

They are apologists for radical Islam. Muslims vote the right way, and have the same enemies that the left has, so they are natural allies. The left is more than willing to overlook that little extremism problem.

Nobody is talking about "Right Wing." They are discussing "extremists" of which the population is probably far smaller than Muslim but arguably "bat(*)(*)(*)(*) crazy."

 

I didn't post a "blog", I posted the liberal Washington Post, which gathered information from New America Foundation, a nonpartisan think tank. And the "truth" is that more people have been killed in Islamic terrorist attacks since 9/11 than by "right wing" terrorist attacks. You can't refute that, so you ignore it. You lose.
