You mean 'they' had to rewrite it because they got so many things wrong in the original, and some smart individuals were querying/challenging them? Yep, that wouldn't surprise me! It probably made them tighten up their act a bit, and realise that some of us out here (emphasis on 'some'? )are not quite as gullible as they thought.

Do you like population control? Even that will slow the inevitable. We will get to a point when earth is overpopulated and we have to move beyond it. Most planets are hostile, sooo.

But it can. Your ignorance again
We know that each element produces a unique spectrum when light bounces off of it and reflected.

We can measure this spectrum of the atmosphere of a planet when a planet passes in front of its parent star and its light filters through its atmosphere. Remember light goes on forever. We can see all the element that exist in the atmosphere by looking at the spectrum. We can deduce the concentration of the element by looking at the intensity of spectral lines. How do you think we know what the sun is made of? Or the composition of other stars?

Here is a spectrum of the elemental table.

You minus well say that you don't believe in physics because you cant do the math.

I've already given up on you, I'm afraid; I know a lost cause when I see one! But I've been asking you who 'we' are, and you haven't told me. Are you a cosmologist/astrophysicist/astronomer, or are you just reporting to me what you've read somewhere or other? Incidentally . . .

"Philae has been found" [IMG] Good news, or what!! Actually I didn't know it had been lost! [IMG]

sooo - tell NASA to look for a planet which isn't hostile, then we'll have somewhere to go?

Dont blame me because you cant read nor understand scientific facts

Because you are sooo ignorant of science in general, you wouldnt know a habitable world if it was staring you in thr face.

Proxima b has a potential for life. Thats a fact. We discoved many other planets with a potential for life. Proxima b is the closest one.

Even if we discovered a world that was a twin of earth, you still would argue against it out of your own ignorance, saying "Scientists cant determine its atmospher and other info from a gajillion miles away."

You seem to be suffering from an Denialism

    Denialism
In the psychology of human behavior, denialism is a person's choice to deny reality, as a way to avoid a psychologically uncomfortable truth.

You're so preoccupied accusing me of being 'ignorant' that you forgot to reply to my post 80??

Oh and you might be interested in this?:

"Based on spacecraft today, a probe launched now would take around 70,000 years to reach the new planet."

 They're fooling you, Fallen - wake up and smell it.

Are you blind or are you lying? Should I take a screen shot then?

What does that have to so with the price of tea in china? Who was talking about sending a probe there? Brcause I wasnt. Or do you like to post random things that have nothing to do with the subject at hand?

You are so ignorant that you dont even know how to use relevant information to make an argument.

Mr "we have to go to the planet to determine its atmospheric composition"
