Trump asks a group of people to help him. He promises money. He gets what he wants, then stiffs them. This is pretty much how he has operated his various businesses. He had a penchant for stiffing subcontractors, in particular, during various construction projects. Two days ago it was a dance troupe of pre-teen girls, who are suing him after he screwed them over during and after they appeared at two of his rallies. This is Trump's signature approach. IT'S THE LIES, STUPID Speaking at a public school in Cleveland yesterday, Trump pulled another classic Trump move, a dizzying array of lies, contradictions and nonsense about his stance on the Iraq invasion: https://www.thestar.com/news/world/...ons-of-his-iraq-war-stance-in-13-minutes.html He claimed he always opposed the war, even though we have recordings of him supporting the war in a 2002 interview with Howard Stern. He claimed he opposed the war in later interviews, such as one with Neil Cavuto in 2003. Except that interview doesn't show opposition to the war. He expresses support for Bush, and says "he has either got to do something or not do something" about Iraq. Maybe wait for UN, maybe not. He then claimed that the Stern interview was irrelevant because it was "before the war even started", even though THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT. He then claimed that he didn't really tell Stern he supported the war. Which is, again, a flat-out lie. He then claimed "I was unimportant" at the time of the Stern interview -- which is completely irrelevant. He then said he didn't have access to good information at the time -- which is, again, completely irrelevant to the discussion. He then said he made other anti-war comments that should be given more weight than the Stern interview. However, there is NO evidence that he did so. This appears to be just another straight-up lie. He then claimed that he was a long-time opponent of foreign wars. This is another straight-up lie. He is on record supporting the attack on Libya, the Iraq invasion and the ouster of Hosni Mubarak. He then claimed that he criticized the war soon after it started. However, his statement -- "the war is a mess" -- was made in passing at a party. Just days before, he had given an interview with Cavuto in which he called the war "a tremendous success". He DID finally clearly, criticize the war -- in August 2004, 17 months after the invasion, when everyone and their sister could see that the occupation was a disaster. Look back over that list of claims again. Three-quarters of them are clear, obvious, objectively provable lies. The rest are irrelevant. And many of them contradict each other -- even if there weren't concrete evidence that he's lying, not all of them could be true. He is lying his butt off, start to end. THIS is who some people want to make president? They called King's show a "podcast", and said they had no way of knowing it would be broadcast on RT. Except the show is not a "podcast." The quote in Post #1 that "Donald Trump’s promises ... are quite possibly a deliberate con, an attempt to rally energy and support without the ability or intention to deliver. His proposals are so implausible that the nation is forced to worry that his interest in the presidency might not even extend beyond winning a contest and promoting his personal brand." is spot-on.
It boggles the mind that an Attorney General would accept a campaign donation from someone they are investigating. If a cop accepted cash from someone they were investigating they'd be arrested.
None of this will cost Trump any support. His blind lemmings will follow him to the pit of hell, and undecided voters (who actually possess brains) have already made up their minds to vote against him.
While they're at it, they may want to look into the funderaiser that Trump staged for Bondi (this is the one she posponed an execution so she could attend). Trump only charged the Florida Republican Party $ 4,855.65 for the use of Mar-a-Lago. I just wonder if some of the Rightwing posters on blogs will get really drunk one night and post... "HILLARY WAS BORN IN KENYA!!!!!" or "OBAMA HAS CANKLES!!!!" to an OP about Trump sticking his "hand" into a hornet's nest to try to have "physical relations" with it?
