Just not in any way you can demonstrate.

Try being more honest, such as:

"I believe God is, among other things, the Creator of the Universe, and of every creature."

    Or even more accurate:

"Because of the massive religious indoctrination I received as a child from trusted adults, I believe God is, among other things, the Creator of the Universe, and of every creature."

    Or completely accurate:

"Because of the massive religious indoctrination I received as a child from trusted adults, and because of the regular peer pressure I am under from other theists, I believe God is, among other things, the Creator of the Universe, and of every creature."

    Like all your Worthless posts.
Yes, the Apisa 10,000 WORTHLESS post "Anything is possible", shedding No light on anything.
Just as the OP, you are basically/in essence saying "you can't "prove there's no god."
    NO Kidding.
But more intelligently/relevantly, I pointed out, and You and yguy can't prove "I'M Not god" either.
    RIGHT?
So according to YOU "everything might be evidence of me."
    Right?
So saying that shows how worthless the OP and Your claim is, with your mere 'possibility' floater.

What does have some Meat, is me pointing out that at least 75% of Believers are Necessarily Wrong since they have different gods with Different creations myths!

So unlike ALL of your worthless 'possible' posts, I provided some quantitative information/meaningful numbers/some handle.
I additionally pointed out that this was true of Tens of thousands of previous 'gods' who were got their 'status' from lack of understanding: aka "God of the Gaps", and that ALL Cases using this method on which we have a verdict, have, one after the other, been shown to be wrong.
Short of the nonsense/fallacious standard of proving a negative, we have seen Tens of thousands of 'gods', and god-thinking, bite the dust.

If you can't hear, see, smell, touch, or taste it, it's probably not there.

That's two strawmen you've massacred now. You must be proud.

Don't be sorry, just stop posting weaselly, diversionary drivel.

No one lives in such a world.

Indeed, it's child's play to conveniently rule out pretty much anything when no immediate consequences are perceived.

    Not really.

    :roflol:

Happily, there is no need for me to demonstrate it.

    Impossible.

Were I to pose as an atheist in hopes of making atheists look like dummies, I'd post something like this.

So...are you saying you agree with me that the only reasonable answer to the question, "Do gods exist or not?"...is...

...I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA AND NEITHER DOES ANYONE ELSE?

    - - - Updated - - -

How about YOU being "more honest1"

Tell us what you position is on the question: Do any gods exist or not?

    - - - Updated - - -

When answering the question, "Do gods exist or not?"...any "yes" or "no"...

...IS nothing more than a blind guess.

Why does that bother you guys so?

Here is a sure fire way of knowing for certain whether or not something exists......

    .......IS IT BEING TAXED????????

    No?

    DOESN'T EXIST!!!

And how do we know there are radio waves?

Furthermore, CK said probably, which doesn't exclude the possibility of God's existence; it just makes it highly improbable.

Anyone suggesting ANYTHING about the probability that gods exist or do not exist...

...is merely sharing a blind guess about REALITY.

No one can make a rational estimate of probability on the question. Atheists have finally got to come to grips with that.

One could make a perfectly rational estimate, as CK has done. It doesn't necessarily have to be true, but it is rational.

    It is not rational.

It is irrational to suppose one can make an estimate of the probability of something for which one has ABSOLUTELY NO STATISTICS at all.

There are NO statistics regarding whether or not gods exist in the REALITY.

That does not stop some theists and some atheists from pretending that blind guesses ARE statistics...I grant you that.

    BUT THERE ARE NONE.

So any probability estimate that there are no gods (or that at least one exists) IS NOTHING BUT A BLIND GUESS.

Let the records show that I agree with you, that no estimate of probability can be made, I just disagree with your irrationality argument.

It is perfectly rational for someone to claim, that a concept which cannot be "measured" is highly unlikely to exist.

The premise, that we can measure all or nearly all there is out there, however, is unproven, which makes the argument logically unsound, but the argument itself, based on the premises, is perfectly rational.

    Thank you, Defiant.

We'll have to agree to disagree on whether or not anyone can make a "rational" estimate of the probability of whether gods exist or not.

I do agree that anyone can simply make the claim...but that does not make the claim or estimate rational.

Do we need to know the probability of square circles throughout the universe to make a logical statement about their existence?

The comparison is false. Both "square" and "circle" are well defined concepts, and mutually exclusive. You can say with absolute certainty, that it is impossible to have square circles using these definitions. Since "square" and "circle" are mutually exclusive, we do not need to settle upon a probability figure.

God (or gods) is just a single concept and has nothing to be mutually exclusive with, the comparison is moot.

Like you said, "square" and "circle" are well defined concepts, but without a definition the concept of "god" is meaningless. The problem is not that god is mutually exclusive with something else, but that the properties attributed to "god" are mutually exclusive with themselves. When such is the case, do we need to know any probabilities to make a logical statement about god's existence?

If this things we humans call "the universe" is a creation (SOMETHING WE DO NOT KNOW)...then whatever created it is a god (are gods). That is not so difficult...except to people who want to insist there are no gods. This is not to say that gods do not have gods...in some sort of infinite regression.

The answer to the question, "Do gods exist?"...HAS A LOGICAL AND REASONABLE ANSWER.

I've offered it several times. Here it is again:

    We do not know.

Same answer applies to the issue of the probability of "gods exist" and "there are no gods."

Sure it is, insofar as rationality is taken to be consonant with vacuity.

No, He is not, any more than gravity is just a concept.

The original Gospels do not even exist as there is not a single original existing Gospel in the possession of the Roman Catholic Church as well the Roman Imperial Biblical Cannon made sure to only use the Fab 4 Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John however more Gospels that the Church has not placed into the Bible do exist such as the Gospel of Mary.

Arguments in favor of Mary Magdalene are based on her status as a known follower of Jesus, the tradition of being the first witness of his resurrection, and her appearance in other early Christian writings. She is mentioned as accompanying Jesus on his journeys (Luke 8:2) and is listed in the Gospel of Matthew as being present at his crucifixion (Matthew 27:56). In the Gospel of John, she is recorded as the first witness of Jesus' resurrection (John 20:14–16); (Mark 16:9 later manuscripts).

You quoted some things I said. Then responded with these two paragraphs.

What on Earth does your response have to do with anything I said?

Actually.... virtually any Atheist can receive electrical stimulation of the right temporal lobe
and they will float outside their bodies..... meet deceased relatives........ review their lives with a being of light.....
and observe objects in places that the position of their bodies would not allow them to view.

Getting hypnotized by a qualified hypnotherapist and regressed in time..... to what appears like past lives.....
or perhaps even more interesting, the between life state...... 90% or so of Atheists can be hypnotized.... and
    view things like this.

The most zealous Islamic terrorist could be hypnotized and regressed in time to past lives where they were a woman.....
it can be suggested that they remember those past lives...... .and their world view for the rest of their lives would be
    profoundly altered.

This is one possible way to virtually eliminate radical terrorist activity......BUT..... extreme skeptics in
our nation fear what may well turn out to be the ultimate truth on such subjects...... .so we continue on
    in relative ignorance!

I can say that a modern gospel is now my all time favourite.......
I like it even better than The Gospel of John... .which was my favourite until
    November / December of 2012.

I have the impression that since 90% of us can be hypnotized.... some of us....
if regressed to the first century would view the life of Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus from
the perspective of somebody who lived at that time........... Near death experiencer Bruce F. MacDonald Ph. D.
got there through meditation......... and what he reported is fascinating!

The version of Christianity that he reports that Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus actually taught could be
much more acceptable to Orthodox and Chassidic Jews and many Muslims...... which could
alter the formula for peace in the Middle East within a century or two.

Nobody can prove or disprove god or a god. All of it is speculation and you choose whether to believe or not.

People need to stop literally fighting over something they have zero concrete evidence of.

Where do I sign up to be electrocuted? Maybe you don't know this... but atheists would love to believe in god, but we simply aren't able to. It's too silly of a concept. But by all means, if you have a method of proving it, please let me know.
