It begins with this line; Now, I'm sure some of you will assume this a "D" who's decided to desert, but that's not the case (at least from what I gathered). However, what's refreshing about this piece is the author is making it clear she's not fooled by the "Smug White Liberals" who've been paying only lip service to black communities for years. One observation she sights; And she reflects; There's a bevy of similar insight in this piece and I recommend you take a few minutes & read it, especially in light of the countries current racial & political climate.

So I read up until here: "Suggesting that blacks stop being Democrats or Liberals would be a waste of my time but what I am suggesting is that we require white liberals to do more than pat us on the head and tell us they know better..." I'm just gonna come out and say it. I almost hate people like this. She gives a whole slew of examples on how the black vote is taken for granted and that in exchange for it lip service is given from the Democrat party, but her proposal for this is to stay loyal and to request stoppage to the pats on the head???!!! How 'bout stopping the battered woman syndrome?! How 'bout leaving the party you feel treats you this way and treated you that way for a long ass time!!?? How 'bout expressing your disappointed by voting for other parties every once in a while!!?? How 'bout abandoning the party until you see something real and constructive coming from them!!?? But nooooooooo. You wanna ask not to be mistreated anymore while you remain the loyal dummy. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. </rant>
Even a dog knows the difference between getting kicked and when he's being tripped over. So yeah, it makes perfect sense to abandon the party that treats you like a schmuck and go all in for the party that hates your guts with a passion. Yes, Democrats have manipulated, ignored, and abused urban blacks for decades. Republicans, on the other hand, are a little more honest - they hate blacks with every fiber of their being. That's why finding a black republican is harder than finding a Hillary bumper sticker in Dallas.
You know what? It does make perfect sense. "The party of hate" happens to not have black and brown people drinking lead-filled water in many major cities, not have it's poor children going to dilapidated schools while their politicians line their pockets with tax money while asking for more handouts as they have people believe the poor and working poor is taking it all, not have signed a NAFTA agreement leaving major sinkholes in the economy, not pretend to give a flip when they don't give a damn, and not a whole lotta other real mucked up stuff. Hate doesnt matter as long as there room for people to do their own thing within the universal rules (do no harm, do unto others, etc). The party of hate leaves plenty of room for growth whereas the more altruistic bunch is actively sabatoging, demoralizing, and deadly.
I've got to tell you, I vote Republican about 95% of the time and I don't hate black people with even a single fiber of my being. I just don't give a rat's ass about them. For me black lives don't matter. At all. BLM can whine and nag all they want. In the end, White people of whatever party aren't going to sacrifice anything to help Black people. Why should they? Republicans are just more honest about it than Democrats.
Yes, sadly that statement says volumes about her perspective. She gets so many things right about how the elite "D"'s have failed black communities, even going so far as saying their policies have made it worse, but in the end she's going to support them anyway.....I guess just because they aren't Republican's...it's hard to say.
