So a common meme these days, is that racial tensions in the USA began with Obama.

or at leasr racial tensions over the last 100 years....or last 50 years..began with Obama.

Really? I've not read or heard anyone say that. Some suggest that racial tensions have increased over the last eight years and point to opinion surveys to support that position. But I don't know anyone who suggests there were no racial tensions before Obama.

 

No such meme exists. The argument sir is that Obama has done everything in his power to make things worse than they were and far worse than they need be and the chief victims of this race card he keeps playing almost daily have themselves been African Americans.

According to our laws the POTUS is not the CIC. Of all militias and he des not become CIC of any militia unless that militia us Federaized. The governor of the state is the CIC of the National Guard units. Until and unless they are Federalized. Once released from federalizations they are again returned under the command of the governors.

here in NYC, we used to have white gangs murdering black people that dared to enter white areas, back in the 1980s and 1990s.

in riots around the country in the 1960s, hundreds of people died.

what is happening today, simply does not compare to what was going on 50 years ago.

Things were pretty quiet late 90s through to 0bama. Race relations seemed good then. I'm sure blacks (and others) were being shot by the occasional cop during those years, yet it never got turned into this BLM crap. Examining that, I think it's social media and 24/7 instantaneous communication region- and nation-wide and instantaneous, knee-jerk internet news reporting that's ultimately to blame. These people aren't being considerate and they're all connected, so they can get worked up and instantly put together a mob to go rage. Mob mentality takes over and maintains this crap for some time. You can practically break it down like weather patterns and storm systems.

So, that's where I stand. I think 0bama's timing as president is mostly coincidental. Perhaps his presence helps to encourage these rioting protesters, as they may have greater hope for a governmental response, and they do get it from time to time, for that matter. 0bama does occasionally speak about it, and does so all too favorably toward them while giving limp-wristed admonitions against the worst violence and property damage and theft.
