You guys have real trouble. Tax Returns, even if released, wouldnt be enough to counter the problems the Democrats and Hillary have.

Since this is of top importance to you, what's the first thing you're gonna look for if/when he releases them?

It's perfectly on topic as I was comparing and contrasting what was posted to Hillary...they are the choices for President.

No, its not on topic. This thread is on Trump and his refusal to release his tax returns which the majority of Americans want to see.

You want to discuss Hillary start a new thread

    What is Trump hiding?

He's only playing coy because he knows he can't debate you about Hillary's "transparency." The best deflection of that is to say you're deflecting.

Since I didn't vote for Hillary, debate on her is not necessary, and Hillary is not the topic of this thread
    Thanks!

You just don't like the comparison because it diminishes your point about Trump and transparency by comparing and contrasting it with his Presidential opponents.........it's called debate.

While that's true, his ego-warping reality goes beyond that. Because that's basically what he said about this trial, "He won, but I made him pay for it" . . . but the guy didn't have to pay a dime. Trump had to pay for the trial. His truth-eclipsing narcissism just really is that powerful.

You opened the door for the comparison by questioning Trumps transparency. Had you not done that then your point would be valid.

This is the year a section of the Republican Party has seemed to lose a portion of their logic and reasoning behind a fantasy belief that Donald Trump is an every man that only wants the best for the average American as the epitome of upstanding character.
It the Art of the Con, the reinvention of a man that these very people would have seen completely differently 2 years ago.
To elect a man that sees the heyday of America as the Pre-Savings-&-Loans-Crisis run up and the Pre-Housing-Crisis run up, you have to have a general idea of what you are electing and why he won't show his taxes.
When Obama was elected the I-Phone was a year old, Android was just being released and we were focused on defeating Al Quaeda. The world changes fast and people need to elect responsibly.

Trump should release his Tax Returns but it will just confirm what we already know, he not who he claims he is.

No I didn't open the door comparisons. This thread is on Trump and his refusal to release his taxes.

Why won't he release his taxes like other POTUS candidates?

Nice deflections to Kerry and Obama.

    Your deflection is noted

The IRS can't legally release or discuss his returns so it doesn't mean collusion.

He was $3.2 billion in debt in 1990 with business bankruptcies in 1991 and 1992
In 1995 he declared $916 million in losses
In 2004 Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts were filing for bankruptcy where he was forced to sell most of his stake
In 2009 Trump Entertainment Resorts filed bankruptcy after missing a $53 million dollar loan payment

So in the last 2.5 decades most of Trump's primary investments have been operating in the red but somehow he claims to have gained in wealth.

So is he just the King of Debt shifting money around while borrowing heavy?

Does he make billions per year though despite slower growth since the last recession in the industries he is primarily involved in?

Or is he just a talker that primary intention is to end the regulations and protections that have stabilized the economy. Seems to be promising his team of hedge fund manager that he will bring back the Bush (Sr & Jr) Era Bubble that led to billion dollar taxpayer bailouts in 1989 and 2007

That is the importance of releasing his taxes though we know it won't be happening.

With the nation sitting on $19 trillion in debt that Trump plans to lower the taxes used to pay for said debt. So with the interest payments on the debt expected to grow under Trump's plan to ignore the debt & allow it to grow even faster, will we have the money in 4 years to deal with the next Super Recession while maintaining a decent way of life in this country?
I don't think so and that is going to open the country up to China and Russia to be far more aggressive as they attempt to gain more control of the world's resources.

It wasn't until you suggested that Trump was setting a precedent of secrecy.

So then I asked if the precedent had not already been set.

    It's a simple question really.

The article I linked to suggested Trump was setting a precedent of secrecy, not me.

Donnie Trump is a prominent criminal. Why would he release his tax returns?
