Perhaps you could explain the wife being allowed in on a Visa.

Was she thoroughly vetted during that process?

You cannot vet people from 3rd world countries, because they have 3rd world documentation in their 3rd world governments.

Perhaps you could also explain the high numbers of these people allowed in with large percentages of highly communicable diseases, such as TB.

I have to chuckle at all the nail biting and handwringing. Look folks, no matter who wins everything will be just fine. Let me put everyone at ease by saying I will be OK no matter who wins. Sure, millenials are screwed if Hillary wins. They will have no future and illegals are screwed if Trump wins but I am in neither group. See? Everything will be just fine.

I am for a wall, but not like you think. I believe our wall could be military bases and training facilities on the borders. With the use of our technology we could have a wall, but it would be an invisible wall. Such as drones equipped with certain cameras, infra-red, thermal, night vision, all sorts of different cams for the appropriate fit. Along with real time training for the troops, finding, capturing, recording, and deporting those who try breaking-and-entering!

Our technology could be and should be, the wall.

I think neither. We'll get hit in the brain with Hillary; we'll still live but be unable to do anything on our own.

And they say the same about some of your ideas. Are you the self-declared arbiter of what is acceptable and what isn't?

So you want a north Korean, DMZ.

    Got it.

Or we could just make sure illegals don't receive benefits, therefore saving us money, and deterring them from coming.

Or we go your way and spend trillions more.

    Interesting.

The imbalances of last century (sexism, racism, gays in military etc) are now dealt with. Meanwhile, small children are still dying from starvation and preventable disease. But instead of turning our limited resources to the outstanding fundamentals .. like survival of children, an end to wars, a cure for cancer, space exploration and the terraforming of an alternative home, etc - we fight to protect men who want to wear dresses, and to keep brown people angry and helpless. If you regard that as progress, I'm sorry for you.

Our guys do way better than you sound like you suspect. And, yes they can make very serious headway investigating people, as we can require references that we can pursue, etc. Plus, if it is questionable we can simply reject.

I'd bet we don't do the full workup for every visa.

But, we do on refugees coming here from regions of conflict.

Your TB thing is off topic.

They could do better, if they were allowed to.

Bottom line is if they decide to increase 3rd world muslims from violent, disease infected countries, we will suffer.

All one needs do is look at Europe.

TB is entirely on topic. The government is required to protect us, and TB kills as surely as a bullet.

I don't think much is being spent on helping men who wear dresses champ. I am all in favor of stopping idiotic wars and finding a cure for cancer. And yes, in my 62 years here on earth I have seen a lot of progress. Between 1900 and 1950 over 100 million people were slaughtered as a result of idiotic wars. Since then, with the exception of the Korean, Vietnam and the idiotic Bush Wars, we have had relative peace here on the planet. The death tolls are going down steadily. To me, that is progress. Sure, there is much room for improvement, but looking at the big picture I detect a steady, slow progress.

Discrimination is a health risk and reduces American productivity. Plus, it's entirely caused by us - it's something we SHOULD be able to do for free.

I do like your idea as well. Not giving them a reason to come here is a great start. However just having more valuable currency, will make them want to come here during the summer, work for our more valuable money, and return home with it for the winter. Or has our value in our currency dropped so much that this, would no longer be worth it. Because this is what started it in the first place. And the fact that people would hire them illegally. That has to end as well.

It could also very well be that, the current laws in place, just are not being enforced at all and completely overlooked.
