Trump first meeting with Obama

Trump seemed very impressed with President Obama. And the man actually tried to think about his words. Almost looked like he wanted Obama as a secret advisor.

 

Trump has no idea what he has gotten himself into, and he feels out of his league.

 

I wouldn't mind having Obama as an advisor. Take his advice, do the complete opposite. It's fail proof that way.

President Trump has to understand his opponent in order to improve on his weakness for our benefit.

he will have obama counseling him for awhile, many things need improvement in our country.

 

I am hopeful that both men (and both of their support groups) will endeavor to make this transition take place as smoothly as possible.

 

Well at least we know he's way more qualified than Hillary, as now she gets to sit it home while Trump is your president and your leader.

 

Give Obama a few days and he'll be back to his old self calling Trump a racist, bigoted, homophobic woman hater.

That is correct. But, a peaceful transition of power is underway & I for one, hope it will be.

 

Well, I don't think "secret adviser" quite describes it, but since Trump is the new kid on the block, he'd be wise to seek counsel from the man he's replacing. He's facing a YUGE learning curve and not much time before he's tested. I wish him the best.

Yes, he will be the President of my country, but I don't respect the man. However, if he puts country before party, which he actually may do, that would be better than most republicans. I mean, really, we have little idea what we are going to get, the people who voted for him included. The little I do know, like more military spending combined with tax cuts, seems like fiscal irresponsibility.

 

Depends on how friendly we get with China and Russia now. We could open up some serious coin. Be interesting to see how he handles them.

 

Right back at ya - give Trump a few days and he'll be back to his old self calling Obama the worst President ever, weaker than Putin and, my personal favorite, President Obama wasn't born in the US therefore wasn't a natural born US citizen and therefore is unqualified to be President.

Now that we've both got the above out of the way, why don't you listen to what Trump had to say about meeting the President and the meeting they had today. It was positive on both sides and still, you have to attack a guy who leaves office in less than 2.5 months. Just bloody insane.......

 

In a perfect world everyone kisses and makes up. But do you think Obama and Michelle are going to fade into the background and not criticize Trump at each and every occasion? If you do I'd like to have some of what you're smoking. They will be on every TV news or comedy show just giving Trump hell and you know it.

Yes, I doubt you very much. Obama gets it, he understands it. You won't hear boo from Obama after he is gone, just as you heard nothing from GW Bush, just as you heard nothing from Bill Clinton, just as you heard nothing from GHW Bush, just as you heard nothing from Reagan, just as you heard nothing from Carter and so on.........these men know how tough the job is, party lines and personalities don't matter, what matters is the people and the nation. Forty-four men got it, the 45th is about to take over. Gawd I can't believe how ignorant and petty some people are......

 

I doubt it seriously. The campaign is over and both men are doing exactly the right thing.

 

My guess is Obama showed him his birth certificate and shouted "Buuuuurrrrnnnnn!!!"

But seriously, both of these men have faced down opponents before. My guess is it was about as passive aggressive as it could get, without being overt.
