In the USA 1900 vs recent, are migrants better off?

I was studying deep mines of the world and on the South African site, this popped up.

The deepest gold mines on Earth are located in South Africa. I was also reading that in 1995, a run-away mine locomotive crashed through 4 safety barriers, tumbled into an elevator shaft where it forced the elevator to the bottom of the shaft, killing 104 miners. I mention this to urge you to study other parts of the world.



Now check the map of the USA today.

We should make sure to distribute these two maps to those outside the country so they knew the truth.

I figured the maps did a stunning job showing the point.

Migrants might ask, why go to the USA? This makes it seem dumb to come here.

WTF are the 3 immigrants to WV doing to be doing so well--must be professors or doctors at WVU.

 

I think the pre-civil war African immigrants got the worst deal of all. You almost want to feel sorry for them.

Well they're a lot better off than the immigrants to the USA in 1900 that's for damn sure.

 

8 states pay them better than locals. The rest do not.
