But that's obviously too general; let Republicans criticize Obama and Democrats criticize Trump, the way things are meant to be. A shame we can't start thinking in more general, non-partisan terms, but I understand...

You know, I watched that news conference this afternoon, and he seemed like he was gonna come out and answer questions, but when the reporter asked him about his comment, he immediately said thank you, turned around, and jetted back into his house.

Gotta wonder if all his news conferences are gonna be like that.

Remember all the threads about trump not going to briefings and all the posters on here saying he doesn't need to be told the same thing every day? Those people are now in this thread saying he's allowed to forget things and how it's not a big deal. I think if trump told them to jump off a cliff or stand in front of a train they would gladly do it and with a smile.

 

Indeed. This is the same Donald who said that it was SCANDAL, BLOODY SCANDAL when another candidate didn't hold press conferences as often as Donald wanted. Now it's Donald ducking the press...for real. The fact that Donald can't even play by the rules that Donald makes up says a lot about his character, or lack thereof.

It's plainly obvious from his behavior that Donald expects to become the (African style) dictator of the US. Is this what countless patriots spent their blood and treasure for? I don't think so! And if Donald is not willing to execute any Constitutional duties, We the People need to make his the shortest-lived presidency in the history of the Union.

The GOP's Reality Distortion Field has been operational for a lot longer than 8 years, but yes, that is the source of the institutionalized dishonesty. It doesn't excuse each and every individual liar for the GOP in the least from responsibility for their own misdeeds, but from a historical context it is the GOP that has been the party of lies and dirty tricks since Nixon was the biggest booster of "tailgunner Joe" McCarthy. As nothing better than liars, the entire GOP, members and all has made itself the #1 geopolitical for of the United States. Even Russia comes in a distant second to the GOP in that respect.

 

Your method assumes that some sort of normality is restored, and we may not have time to wait for NATO and/or the UN to defeat the Putin/Trump Axis of evil in warfare. Better to get started now. Think globally, act locally. Evict the neonazis by any means necessary.

As another poster claimed, the US "is at war, has always been at war...", not quite as eloquently as George Orwell did, but nevertheless. If they're at war with us, then it's time for us to start fighting, and "take our country back," ironic as that may sound.

The original plan was to bypass Big Insurance entirely, something that is an economy of scale that only makes sense to do. The US has by far the highest health care costs of any nation, and the reason is because of profit-taking by Big Insurance and Big Pharma. I certainly would have preferred "single payer" and so did President Obama. It's not his fault that the GOP lawmakers (hint: they're the ones who make the laws) refused to do it. Give credit (and blame) where it is due, please, and nowhere else.

 

What religion do you think the inhabitants of Berlin are? I have been there 4 times and saw a lot of Christians.

The ACA is entirely written and passed into law by Democrats.

But that will be remedied in the near future.
