David Duke Threatens To Expose Other Politicians With White Supremacist Ties

The Huffington Post | By Paige Lavender | Posted: 01/02/2015 11:16 am EST
    Excerpts:

"Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke issued a warning to Republicans who have criticized House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.)for speaking to a white nationalist group in 2002, saying they "better be looking over their shoulders."

In an interview with Fusion, Duke said he has ties to politicians on both sides of the aisle, and he is ready to release names if criticism of Scalise continues:

Overall, Duke was rather flabbergasted by the new focus on Scalise. He said he has hosted both Democratic and Republican legislators at everything from conferences to his children’s birthday parties. He said he has met with Democratic legislators at least 50 times in his political life.

And he delivered a warning to both Republicans and Democrats: Treat Scalise fairly, and don't try to make political hay out of the situation. Or he said he would be inclined to release a list of names of all the politicians - both Republicans and Democrats - with whom he has ties.

"If Scalise is going to be crucified - if Republicans want to throw Steve Scalise to the woods, then a lot of them better be looking over their shoulders," Duke said.

"I didn't know who all of these groups were, and I detest any kind of hate group," Scalise said on Monday.

Peter Wehner, a former adviser to President George W. Bush, said the news about Scalise's 2002 speech is "acidic for the Republican Party." But GOP leaders - including House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio)and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) - are standing by Scalise amid the controversy".

    ......

IMO: Well, now we have threats emanating from former KKK leader David Duke who promises to reveal the names of Congressmen that have aligned themselves with the KKK in the past. Things are getting ripe early for the republican majority in both the House and Senate.

But we have John Boehner and HML Kevin McCarthy who continue to stand by Scalise and his former actions concerning speaking engagements at KKK conventions. Now he proclaims his innocence in knowing what the KKK stood for when he accepted those speaking engagements.

It is something like Antonin Scalia sitting with the justices deciding which cases they would hear, then running off to a republican convention where he is scheduled to be the featured speaker, and a look at the rapt audience shows justices Alito and Thomas in rapt attention. But all three are above the law they presume to legislate.

This proves even more effectively that Scalise should go before more threats are uttered and more corruption dragged before the public's eyes to contemplate, as our plates are full as it is now. We think that it is time for a new Congress...and a new majority hasn't even arrived yet!! CRIKEY...the average American can't get a Break these days !!

    That is amusing.

Whilst I appreciate that Duke has managed to make a career out of his bigotry, somehow I think his threat may be a bit hollow. Perhaps he should simply list all of those with whom he claims he has ties. You know, support his statement with a bit of fact.

Or he could simply be a typical white racist, that being full of (*)(*)(*)(*).

This is every politicans worst nighmare.

With Duke out there running his mouth, Scalise has no control over where this story goes.

The last thing anyone in the GOP leadership wants is to have David Duke running his mouth on cable TV trying to defend the incoming House Majority Whip.

So the Kicked-to-the-Curb Left's new plan is to just pretend that we don't all know that Scalise NEVER spoke to the group the foamy-mouthed left LIED about, and the entire story was debunked?

    Got it?

Except that everyone agrees he did not. So his "admission" was a lame attempt at a mea culpa.

Bull(*)(*)(*)(*). The group in question didn't even have the room rented until after he was gone. He didn't remember who was in the group of civics groups he spoke to on that day, over 12 years ago. His office issued a default statement , as a matter of procedure.

Tell us all again how Dick Cheney leaked Valerie Plame's name to Novak. Der....

Dr. Duke's points are well taken. If a politician sucks up to 'La Raza' (the race) which advocates for Hispanics and the 'Reconquista' of U.S. lands........or the NAACP which advocates on behalf of colored people's interests then nobody cares. But if a politician speaks to a group that advocates on behalf of European-American interests then all hell breaks loose......too funny to watch.

As usual from this crowd, the thread title and OP are a complete lie.

Scalise doesn't have "white supremacist ties".

And giving a speech is not a "tie".

Just more lefties lying like their Liar-in-Chief.

Who's David Duke again? Oh yeah the washed-up Louisiana wackadoo racist who has run for office just as many times Democrat/Populist as Republican IIRC, whom the GOP has never done anything but repudiate? that guy... who somehow "defines" the GOP in moonbat land. YAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWN.

All of which is based solely on a tortured attempt at spin from a guy who lied to reporters about his ties to the organization in question.

Scalise has not retracted his admission that he was there. Even wingnut media has stopped beating that drum.

And when asked to confirm the spin, David Duke ran from the question today.
