Well good for him. Nothing like a little hypocrisy to make Trump feel good again.

Indeed, the president is, once again, jetting down to Florida, once again, and playing golf, once again.

Amazingly, Trump complained constantly about the previous president playing golf, and now, well, it seems like Trump plays a (*)(*)(*)(*) ton of golf.

Perhaps Trump's critiques of others simply don't apply to him.

President Donald Trump will tee it up with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe this weekend in Florida, presumably at one of Trump's handful of courses down there.

"The Prime Minister [of Japan] is coming next weekend," Trump told Westwood One, according to the White House. "In fact, he's coming to the White House and then he'd like to play golf. We're going to come down to Florida, Palm Beach, and we're going to play golf. We're going to have a round of golf, which is a great thing.

"That's the one thing about golf -- you get to know somebody better on a golf course than you will over lunch. I know he loves the game, and we're going to have a lot of fun."

It will be fascinating to see how golf comes to define his presidency. Trump is clearly in love with the game, but he has noted in the past how he felt like President Obama hit the links too often.

So what is the issue here?
Oh...right. Anything Trump does is fodder for the hate mill.

Is this the first time he has played since becoming president?

Nope. He flew to Florida and played last weekend.

To be fair, Trump attacked his predecessor several times for doing what he now engages in with even greater frequency.

He managed to play 3000 rounds of golf since Jan 20?

Wow, Trump should go pro after his TWO TERMS are up.

So he shouldn't golf of weekends? What should he do with his free time? He shouldn't golf with foreign heads of state from countries where discussing business during a game of golf is a common practice?

He actually seems to be doing a lot of work. In fact, he seemed to get right to work right away. Isn't what he has been doing the reason liberals having been throwing temper tantrums multiple times each day since he was sworn in? Now it's temper tantrums over golf. Next it will be temper tantrums because of the color of his tie and so on.

I actually liked it when Obama went on vacation, it limited the amount of damage he could do.

He is more than welcome to play golf. It is just deliciously amusing that Turmp attacked Obama for doing so, and now his defenders, well, defend his raging, unrepentant, shameless hypocrisy.

    Come on now.

Obama attacked his predecessor for increasing the national debt. What was it Obama said about that deficit spending? Something about it being irresponsible and un-American? Can you say $20+ trillion now?

At least in contrast to your man Obama's hypocrisy, Trump playing a few rounds of golf doesn't seem to have much relevance.

    C'mon now.

Is Turmp immune from folks pointing out his raging, shameless hypocrisy?

Not immune at all. It should be pointed out.

But folks should also at least attempt to put it into some kind of perspective, especially when those same folks just spent eight years defending the hypocrisy of his predecessor.

It's right up there with how the truth was so important when it came to the Bush administration, became irrelevant for eight years under Obama because he meant well and suddenly is the most important thing in the world again. Talk about shameless hypocrisy.

Face it. You live in a glass house. But by all means, continue your stone throwing.

    But, but, but Obama..........

That line of thought reminds me of all the liberals that spent so much time blaming Bush for Obama's failings. Sounds just like them.

Rather than just say yes, Trump is a self absorbed (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*), a raging hypocrite, and a clueless farce of a president, every failure of his is excused with the ever convenient "but Obama.....".

Right. Because we didn't see the forum's liberals blame Bush year after year. I'll wager you probably brought Bush up more than a few times yourself.

But of course, a new set of rules when it isn't your guy in the White House. Or put another way, raging hypocrisy.

    <Off-topic>

He's done more in 2 weeks than Obama's done in 8 years. I think playing a round with a world leader is ok.

There were lots of critics of Obama spending much of his time playing golf in sumptuous surroundings while national problems went unaddressed and I'm sure Trump was one of them.

Do you think it's a bit premature, in fairness, to be accusing Trump of doing the same?

I don't begrudge Trump playing golf. I am saying he is a shameless hypocrite for doing so.

Trump didn't begrudge Obama his golf per se. I wonder if you can find an instance of Trump saying Obama should never play golf?
I can't find anything like that.

Good news. Man need to rest and recharge to prepare for another week of people's work. Plus, keeping up relations with Japan is a good thing. Right? :)

So Trump uses the course to get business done and it's outrage. Oblamer goes to Hawaii every other weekend by himself and it's none of our business. Is that what the left is going with here? What a world.
