Is Christianity really as violent as Islam?

Well, get on with it....defend islam with all its love and peace...
I repeat...are you a muslim...I just want to know who Im arguing with

 

If you go back to my original post in this thread (which is post #51) I express my complete agreement with the OP that in modern politics Islam is more violent than Christianity, but that Christianity also has a history of violence. This isn't to smear one religion or the other, but to simply address the political climate that exists and has existed within these religions. You also bring up an excellent point by raising the question about what nations today have Christian governments. This is a defining feature between western and middle eastern countries, while most western countries are of Christian cultures, most of them abandoned their theocracy a long time ago, where as today many middle eastern countries are run by governments that are defined by their religion.

 

And I just want to know why we are not bombing Indonesia? Does the question scare you in some way?

If not, why did those flee England etc to come to this land now called the USA? To get away from the church, yes?

Actually, the roots of christianity and islam is the same OT stories. It's the same God.

Ask India about the violence carried out by so called Christian nation England and thier thugs east indies trading company. China might have something to say about that as well. Hitler was a devout Catholic. Spain is the seat of the Holy Emperor. The violence they carried out on South and central America eradicating 2 indigenous tribes. Then there is the US and what it did to native Americans and what they are doing in the world today.
Your opinion on this matter is bias because you yourself are Christian and can't imagine yourself being violent. That and you are feed bias information by the Christian propaganda machine. History taught in America is one version of history. Two sides to every story.

 

People and their actions do not define a religion. Look at the writings, their holy book, their prophet. Mohammed was a man of war. Jesus was a man of love and peace.

 

Love and peace.

Neither of these qualities is noticeable in the output of right wing US Christianity.

Which pretty much lets any observer see which particular Christian mythological entity they do favour.
