Trump brought this division with him, he nor Hillary were either the unifying candidate. Just like how Trump was not a populist, he was a nationalist. Bernie was a populist, Trump is simply a nationalist and a isolationist. I was reading an article in Time the other day that had a quote from Trump. "A nation without borders is not a nation." Wow, really? So, a nation isn't defined by its people, its defined by a cement barrier?

Trump himself is more of a threat than some liberal, activist judge. He's signing EO's like ass mud, at or even a faster rate than Obama did, and conservatives are perfectly okay with it. Hypocrites, much?

 

Don't be silly. Of course nations are defined by borders. Just look at a map and you will see.

 

It says a lot more about a nation when its people are taken into account, not simply this device we use to protect and isolate ourselves.

 

Nevertheless, borders are an essential part of nationhood. A nation without borders is not a nation.

What we need to do is stop empowering the terrorists by pretending they are an existential threat. To stop the mass deportations of Mexicans threatened by Donald Trump cities like New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles that are going to provide legal defense funds so lawyers can represent the undocumented (illegal) aliens and fight every single attempted deportation case bringing the already over-loaded immigration courts to a standstill with legal motions and challenges by the attorneys.

Mexico, that Trump has already gone to "war" with, is also contemplating requiring the United States to literally prove that those Trump wants to deport are Mexican citizens. In the past Mexico would accepted the deported person just because the person said they were Mexican. The US may have to prove that in the future. It's sort of like the Jim Crow Voter ID Laws that Republicans love so much in reverse. Now it will be a "Deportation ID Law" where the US government will have to prove the person being deported is a Mexican national with a copy of the person's birth certificate that it will have to purchase from Mexico.

No, the "left" isn't using violence to fight against the nefarious racism and religious intolerance of the Trump Administration. It's using the courts because the Constitution is on the side of the left and it's being supported by both liberal and conservative justices in our Federal Court system.
