Is America ready for a general strike?

They'll be written up or fired if they skip out at this company today. You simply don't bite the hand that feeds you, and my boss starts you out at $1.00 more per hour here if you can speak Spanish. He does way too much for the "immigrants" here, if they screw him, he'll screw them back and get the last laugh. Everyone is replaceable.

Cause I know several immigrants, including my stepmother who is now a citizen the legal way, who aren't protesting (*)(*)(*)(*).

 

The "you" is nobody indeed. I didn't mean that there was a conspiracy either. However one can see that intellectual laziness is not just endorsed by the general population, it is also sometimes encouraged by the media, the thriving industries -as you mentioned, and the political sphere.

 

One of the big pulls for hiring illegals is they don't make a bunch of waves around the business. Striking only makes them less attractive to potential employers.

 

There's actually a democrat who's suggesting that unless certain DNC demands are agreed upon by the GOP, democratic obstuctionism could result in defaulting on the US debt., as Congress must soon vote to increase the debt ceiling. Imagine if those EBT cards are declined ...

 

That ray of sunshine is doing a standup job, too... I don't think one single company has felt, or will feel the economic and political power. What a joke.

 

On that day, I plan to work overtime, and go shopping and eat out.

100% correct. My guess is the Trump is a correction back to an illusion of more liberty just to keep the productivity of the herd high. Lord knows that the Obama admin added several to the roles of useful idiots. These are the folks that keep the productive domestic humans in line on behalf of their masters.

We have about 20% immigrants in our line technicians. Our RTO was 2 short of 100% present out of 335 employees today. I am beginning to think that these incidents are comprised of just small groups not homogeneously spread across the nation of really loud and annoying people. Case in point, of the 200+ women I work with and another 150+ that I know, only 1 attended the women's Trump protest.

 

They need to be. The amounts need to be decreased.

 

I would like to start a movement to take the word liberal back and instead attribute this brain damage to Progressives. Thomas Jefferson was a liberal. These idiots are just fuzzy principled wanna be fascists.

Who is saying legal immigrants aren't an important part of the work force?

 

What I worry about is a big terror attack from the government to justify their puppet Donald Trump. They had collapsed WTC to justify Mid East war, what else won't they do?

 

But we can't really force people to be otherwise, can we? Best you can do is lead a horse to water, so to speak. Can't make it drink! I think this is likely a very old issue, too - most people don't know or care much about politics until it fails bigtime and they're forced to endure the consequences in their own well-being. We didn't get to the World Wars with knowledgeable, engaged populations, I'd wager, but rather with clueless mobs who went along with one party ideology or another with a belief that things would work out in the end, somehow. It doesn't help that politics are actually quite complex, making any proper, informed understanding and engagement daunting.

 

I remember several years ago the same thing was tried here in SOCAL. the freeway traffic was awesome! you could actually do the speed limit during rush hour.

 

I sense a replay of the gays Chik-fil-a boycott (that turned out to be the best sales day in Chik-fil-a history) but on a national scale.

 

Urban liberal Democrats will be the first to feel the effects of a general strike as they will no longer have access to food and other essentials.

Shortly thereafter, they will scream for the governors to call out the national guard to quash the strikers.

 

The "Day without Immigrants" is actually a strike of illegal aliens which is intended to show the USA's dependence upon illegals. And I support it. In fact, I hope they extend it to a permanent strike. And the government should help them make it permanent.

 

That is a different strike, than the 'general one' of this thread. But i suspect it would not be much different, especially if the illegal immigrants would also 'strike' from their ebt cards, subsidized housing, taxpayer funded healthcare, & free education. Will they avoid the hospital? Not eat? Skip school? Probably not. Oh, some of them may take a day off, but i doubt it will affect most people.

I have long thought that if the producers of the nation would go on strike against the moochers & looters, it would do more to impress upon them the importance of the working man. How would the moochers & looters fare if every producer went on strike, & did not offer their goods & services to them?

Gas pump won't work for moochers & looters.
Groceries won't deliver.
Roto rooter guy will only go to producer's sewer lines.
Car mechanic won't fix moocher's cars.
Cell phones quit for moochers & looters.
No heat or cooling, during producer's boycott of the looters & moochers.

The logistical problem is the hard part. It is easy to identify some moochers, but the looters are harder. Politicians? Yeah, all of them. News media, entertainment, sports figures? Pretty much looters & moochers of the working man. Trust fund babies? Bankers, passive investors, wall street brokers? Moochers all.. no production worker benefit for them. And, of course, the welfare queens, illegals, & disability frauds. Govt employees, grant recipients, govt contractors? Yep. Moochers all. Anytime the govt takes from those who have worked, & given it to those who have not, you have a looting event. The recipients are the moochers, & the ones who decree the theft are the looters.

But getting all the producers together & agreeing to this would be nearly impossible. Most of them don't care, & just work & try to build a life. They are not caught up in the govt entitlement scam, like the moochers & looters. They naively believe you have to work for a living, & haven't seen the blinding light & heard the hallelujah chorus of the Great Fiction, that govt can enable you to live off of everybody else.
