Virtually all of this is subject to legislative authority because the agencies were created by law that would have to be changed. It isn't going to happen. Of course President Trump, being completely ignorant of the US government, doesn't have a clue when it comes to what he's been doing since taking office.

Departments within agencies, that the president can control to some degree, serve a dedicated purpose generally required by law and to eliminate them in most cases simply reduces the effectiveness of the agency and would create a failure by the president to faithfully fulfill the duties of office and that would violate Article II of the Constitution.

This looks like another unconstitutional attempt by President Trump to usurp the powers of office and I foresee lots of lawsuits and federal restraining orders in the future. He was elected president but has assume the role of dictator.

With all other departments gone Trump will create just one new department to replace them and will appoint David Duke to be the Secretary of new Department of Slavery.

Congress dictates funding to the EPA and Dept of Education and not the President. I can just see Republican states like Kansas responding to a cut in federal funding to education when Kansas can't even meet it's current education or other expenditures because it imposed "Republicanomics" and that didn't help the economy and resulted in tax revenue shortfalls.

No, as Dubya and Barack demonstrated so well, we really need that Unitary Executive. If anything, we should eliminate the legislative and judiciary branches.

 

Surely better than just dumping parts of departments then finding out you really need a core group within that department.

It means some on our side are also incapable of thinking for themselves and listening to Trump's message without hearing just the negative highlights. If Trump proved anything, it's that there is still a guy out there capable of pulling in voters from both sides that put partisanship aside. You should take take notes.

Note the deadline is three months before the mid term elections. No action will be taken before the mid terms, and the report will be forgotten thereafter.
