I'd need to see the warrant and the investigation reports to know. Investigation does not mean crime. A warrant that globally authorized "wiretapping" a company's phones would "incidentally" capture conversations between people not subjects of the investigation. For all we know the "tap" could be to catch a mail room clerk dealing mexican pot.

    Cheers

    So...more bombshells.

It seems to me that Putin decided that it would be foolish, expensive, and dangerous for Russia to try to destroy the United States...so instead decided to set up a situation where the United States would destroy itself.

Maybe Trump is right that Putin is brilliant, because that is what is happening.

We Americans alive right now were given custody of the nation for a short while...and we are urinating on it.

What a horrible catastrophe this has become.

For the wiretap to exist, someone MUST have authorized it. Or if NO ONE did, and they did it anyway, that's a whole host of crimes right there. No matter what, the attention is off the false Russian Conspiracy and on the very real violation of powers.

I expect the intelligence community to lie to everyone else, not to the government leadership. If they're doing that, they're more danger than help. It's weird how this is so close to this season's Homeland, where the "Deep State" tries to undermine a President elect. Ripped from the headlines...

The FBI is not the only intelligence organization. According to Hillary there are 17.

They wouldn't need a FISA warrant for a guy selling pot...unless his supplier was Still in Mexico lol

Legally under the context of the FISA's Court(and again, only as far as he knows.) We don't know the order for which this recording was granted. If they went above and beyond what they were supposed to collect, then it's a crime. Politicians never like to say "as far as we know", that's for us to deduce for ourselves.

A few grand juries can drain the swamp instantly just by sending out subpoenas.

We are destroying our country with our hatred of our government.

Ronald Reagan gave us a strong push in this direction. I hope he is looking up at us and regretting what he did.

A flowery expression is all it is, substance be damned.

And yes, let's see where it leads. I'm willing to bet, not into Russia.

No, just a hatred of corruption. Government isn't the problem, politicians who abuse their temporary powers as public servants are the problem.

Yea, Obama and his Administration tried to take down the President and it just got all thrown back in their faces. This is just the start.

I agree about the intel. Lie to us, don't tell us, but don't lie to each other and use your power to protect the people. I don't care if they wiretap for legit reasons.

All it takes though is a guy like Obama to just ruin the government trust for years to come. Shameful.

Right. But if it was an old investigation kept open just for this "incidental" information flow then it's a "wiretap" of the Trump presidential campaign.

    Time will tell.

    Cheers

Just saying, this doesn't mean anything in regards to Trump's tweet blaming Obama directly. I know, I know, Trumpisms and all that, but at the end of the day, he doesn't get a pass for his big ****ing mouth anymore.

He's president. His tweets will become presidential records. It's a travesty what Washington is and has become.

I know you have become attached to the Russia collusion theory, but that is not likely to pan out.

“Reporters should always be nervous when intelligence sources sell them stories. Spooks don't normally need the press. Their usual audiences are other agency heads, and the executive. They can bring about action just by convincing other people within the government to take it.

In the extant case, whether the investigation involved a potential Logan Act violation, or election fraud, or whatever, the CIA, FBI, and NSA had the ability to act both before and after Donald Trump was elected. But they didn't, and we know why, because James Clapper just told us – they didn't have evidence to go on.

Thus we are now witnessing the extremely unusual development of intelligence sources that normally wouldn't tell a reporter the time of day litigating a matter of supreme importance in the media. What does this mean?” ROLLING STONE, Why the Russia Story Is a Minefield for Democrats and the Media, By Matt Taibbi, 3/8/17.
    http://www.rollingstone.com/politic...minefield-for-democrats-and-the-media-w471074

It is easier to establish links to Putin and Russia with the Clintons than to Trump. But probably equally difficult to prove collusion.
