Sorry mate - Its just all made up nonsense. I understand why do people do believe in a god and if it helps to get you through the day then more power to you........Its just not something that has ever struck me as being in the slightest bit plausible.

Nothing to be sorry about history is not a made up story and the very reason why God personally came to us as Jesus Christ is to make us understand same way as to why scientist, historians, philosophers and smartest man they all strive hard to keep records and share their truth so that we all can understand.

    Jobbs;"I'm about fifty-fifty on
believing in God," he said. "For most of my life,Ive felt that there must
be more to our existence than meets the eye."

He admitted that, as he faced death, he might be overestimating the odds out of a desire to believe in an afterlife. "I like to think that something survives after you die," he said. "It's strange to think that you accumulate all this experience, and maybe a little wisdom, and it just goes away. So I really want to believe that something survives, that maybe your consciousness endures."

The Roman Empire kept meticulous records. I know that back in the 70s a search was done to find records of the death of Christ, at the hands of the romans, and none were found. Have they been found since?

Is it possible that Christ survived, and the stories in india about him coming there, after he fled the middle east, are true?

Perhaps what was important was his teachings, and once he discovered the jews were gonna get him killed, he had the good sense to haul ass? Then, after he was long gone, the jews who were involved with him needed to make him more jewish, and came up with the story that he was a blood sacrifice, as this was jewish religious tradition to kill something in order to relieve sin? And this made it more about his death than his teachings. For his teachings once the church was organized took a far back seat and his death for sin became the focus. So much so, that Christianity then didn't involve itself with seeking the kingdom that he said was within, nor did it involve itself with the death of the ego, and the rebirth of consciousness. All you had to do then, since they were saying he died for sin, was to confess faith in that, get dunked in water, and then no one sought the inner kingdom of heaven or worried themselves about dying to their own egos. That would explain the 2000 years of murder and evil acts in his name by the church, would it not? For people who were seeking the inner kingdom, would not need a heiarchy of men, to tell them what to do. And if one died to the ego, this would have prevented all of the evil the church did for 2000 years, which was basically, "believe in my redeemer's blood, or I shall drown you in your own".

Tacitus recorded the execution of Jesus Christ.

Scholars generally consider Tacitus' reference to the execution of Jesus by Pontius Pilate to be both authentic, and of historical value as an independent Roman source.[5][6][7] Eddy and Boyd state that it is now "firmly established" that Tacitus provides a non-Christian confirmation of the crucifixion of Jesus.[8]

Historian Ronald Mellor has stated that the Annals is "Tacitus's crowning achievement" which represents the "pinnacle of Roman historical writing".[9] Scholars view it as establishing three separate facts about Rome around AD 60: (i) that there were a sizable number of Christians in Rome at the time, (ii) that it was possible to distinguish between Christians and Jews in Rome, and (iii) that at the time pagans made a connection between Christianity in Rome and its origin in Roman

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tacitus_on_Christ

What is not possible is that Jesus is not real and the possibility he was in India yes it is possible because he is God. Did Jesus fled the Middle East? No, Christianity will spread to places that even the Roman could not succeed in reaching.

Jesus teachings, miracles, healing and revelations that God is real was the most important part of Jesus historicity and the Jewish leadership discovered that Jesus Christ is in deed God decided to tricked the Romans to do the execution because the Jewish dare not executed God. Jesus knew it all that was why he face his persecutors and in front of their faces he refused to disprove he is not God.

It was Jesus Christ resurrection that would provide great enlightenment to the Apostles they would become unafraid to face the consequences of death, lost of earthly wealth, families and friends their Saintliness and self sacrificed touch all people all over the Roman empire that no amount of persecution and eradication of the truth, reality and historicity of God by man will ever succeed. Enemies of Jesus started to kill and murder all of Jesus followers for generations and generation they failed, they then tried to discredit Jesus and his followers they failed, they then flood the general public with all sorts of heretical stories and claims about Jesus Christ that too failed and then finally they introduced communism and atheist it also is failing.

The Church persevered the church continue to share the truth about God with charity and healing succeeding in taming the barbarians, the Vikings, introduced modern medicine, education, science and technology and soon the political secular- atheist leadership corrupted the church with their greed, power, and vanity started to wage wars among themselves until until once again the Church intervene uniting all Christians under the Crusade to defend and succeed in building what is now modern world. The evilness of man was put to check by the church, today science advancement and continue to advance is greatly to the efforts of the church.

The first people that vetted Jesus were the Pharisees the Jewish elites and rulers they found him to be true that they had to have Jesus tried in close doors without any representation and in spite of some protest from a few elites Jesus was quickly sentence to death but because they were afraid to carry out the death sentence themselves they turn Jesus over to the Romans to be executed. Pilate the Roman governor found no Roman laws was violated and that Jesus does not deserve the death penalty. Normally, Pilate would have just have Jesus executed if he thinks and feel Jesus was just another Jew just another life to be terminated and to satisfy the Jewish elites, Pilate relented and in the end he reluctantly submitted to the wishes of the Jewish elites to have Jesus executed by crucifixion.

Here is a man name Jesus of Nazareth who started to preach about social universality, about healing, about corruption, about the true God and he backed up his preaching with healing, miracles, knowledge, wisdom, unselfishness and self sacrifice his followers grew in a short period of time everything would have ended with his death but with his Resurrection everything change, history already know and confirm the existence of Jesus of Nazareth and now with his resurrection history has confirm that he is God.

Every known leaders, scientist and scholars of different generations has accepted that Jesus is no myth.

    Because YOU say so?

Pretty much everything you just typed is complete BS and pointless diatribe. On top of that you speak as if you were there and recollect the BS you spew.

Hell...Jesus didn't even become the son of God until they decided he is at Nicaea.

On the contrary, not according to what I say but what is written and confirm according to official documents and records that several great leaders, researchers, historians, scientist for the past thousands of years have confirm and accepted the same confirmation that is shared to us by them.

The Necaea is about uniting Christianity bringing it back to its originality according to Jesus Christ and the Apostles. The first generations of Christians that included the Apostles all shared a unify acceptance that Jesus Christ is the Son of God it would be the later Christians that started spreading heretical stories and claims that are in contrary to the Apostles and to Jesus Christ teachings and being.

History does not contradicts it self only deniers contradicts history.
It wasn't the Apostles who created or invented Jesus Christ it was actually the pagans, the heretics and later the atheist who created Jesus Christ with all their conflicting self written self claim history that Jesus Christ is not real or not God base on their own stories.

Atheism predates Christianity and it was Christians who were responsible for the slave trade in America.

But God predates atheism. Your second comment isn't even worth responding to. Such ignorance is a shameful thing.

    Nope.

Every original religious text is built around historical events. Then they are embellished with myth.

No. Wrong. Bogus "science". Post your source and you'll prove it's bogus.

That is not a sentence and therefore it cannot communicate a thought.

No. Some or most. And more importantly, this would prove nothing even if it were true.

Atheism has been documented in recorded history but there is no documented evidence for the existence of your god.

And yes, I can see why Christians would be ashamed and have self imposed ignorance of their slave trading past.

I don't think matters of faith can be solved in forums such as this nor should they. These are adopted by free will and critical thinking. I am a Christian because faith changed my life. My ancestors were poor farmers who immigrated from Europe and never owned slaves, we progressed through hard work and education. Your assertion is an overgeneralization.

It all depends on where your ancestors were from if they owned slaves or were slaves themselves.

BULL and ****, Census were done in the Roman Empire at the provincial level and these were for population, employment and taxation and even if this Emperor ordered a Empire wide census there was no damned reason for anyone to leave their homes, travel hundreds if not more miles, to do so when it would have disrupted the entire Roman World. Now they were orderly and liked keeping things calm to avoid major issues when they could so what the hell sense would this make to anyone using common sense? Let me mention how stupid this would be say everyone in the USA was ordered to go to their place of birth, to have their birth certificates checked, and they ordered this in 2020 and regardless of ability to pay and backed by a $10k fine for not doing so. How much disruption would this cause? Now think this is the modern age back then travel was far more difficult.

And Jesus (Romanized name) was a common name so how do you know this Jesus of Nazareth was not a zealot who killed Romans and killed by the Roman governor for a legitimate criminal reason, hell there could have been several people using that name all different men from Nazareth. It would have been easier if we had clear records supporting this such as eye witnesses of him being before Herod and later before the governor as a religious figure, as an example.

Answer me this. Several of Jesus disciples suffered imprisonment, torture and death. The reason for this was that they preached about a risen Savior. They could have saved themselves by denying Christ. Not one of them did so. No one would die for a lie. Therefore, Jesus was real. He was crucified. He rose from the dead. His resurrection was witnessed by hundreds of people. We have first hand accounts of the life, death, and resurrection of Christ. How much evidence do you need?

And Joseph Smith was killed by a mob that sought to murder him for being a Mormon. He could have saved himself by admitting he made all of it up. He didn't. Is the Book of Mormon therefore true? Are you a Mormon now?

Did you know that a whole galaxy saw Darth Vader? He fell into some lava and was resurrected. There's video of it. How much evidence do you need?

Your eyewitnesses are worthless because there's zero evidence that they existed. Even Paul, who came up with the story, said that it was BS because the dead do not rise.

1 Corinthians 15:12-17 (NKJV) = "12 Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. 14 And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. 15 Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise. 16 For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. 17 And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!."

How many zombies do you know?

Since no one has ever been able to do the tree trick it's obvious that no one has any faith in Jesus or the story is just a fairy tale with imaginary characters. The flip side is that if it is true then all of the Gentiles will end up as slaves to the Jews for all of eternity because the fairy tale says that is their fate.

Isaiah 14:1-2 (CEV) = "1 The Lord will have mercy on Israel and will let them be his chosen people once again. He will bring them back to their own land, and foreigners will join them as part of Israel. 2 Other nations will lead them home, and Israel will make slaves of them in the land that belongs to the Lord. Israel will rule over those who once governed and mistreated them."

More people have died for lies than it's possible to estimate. Every single religious 'martyr', in all religions, throughout all human history, just for starters. Unless you're suggesting that religious martyrs for other faiths are evidence that those faiths are also true?

Are you asking me if Jesus of Nazareth as a rabbi, apocalyptic preacher and leader of a group of disciples who had a following existed and due to causing trouble was killed by Rome and who may have made claims of being the Messiah existed? Well knowing what we know historically in general that is only an Ordinary claim so only needs Ordinary Evidence and would say using the available information was likely possible. Now above that any miracles, divine events and such claims would be Extraordinary and demand Extraordinary evidence which is lacking by a long shot. We can't prove Buddha existed either however the same thing the man likely did exist as a man who was a religious teacher of a new faith did he reach Nirvana well that is the Extraordinary Claim then isn't it?
