‘Sanctuary state’ bill passes California Senate

While the country was absorbed in the criminal misbehaving of Obama's former cohorts and accomplices , California quietly passed the first hurdle in becoming an all out, full fledged sanctuary state. IMO, Trump needs to make a very public and painful example of California starting with the arrests of anyone who fails to cooperate with ICE. If any law enforcement agency knowingly releases an illegal, especially one with a criminal record, without calling ICE then al hell should break loose.

This is a kick in the face to my grandparents who came here the legal way, all legal immigrants should feel insulted and pissed off.

The Japanese have a saying; when a nail sticks out it gets hammered back into place.

 

Trump could have buses go to the southern American border and load up all immigrants who cross into your country without permission. Then the buses could take all those people to California and leave them there. Tell them they can stay in America as long as they don't leave California.

How soon before California rethinks it's policy or becomes part of Mexico?

 

Legal immigration is the only way but the back door was open for too long to easily solve these issues even in four years.

 

One step further would be for every State to purchase a one way bus ticket to CA for anyone here illegally NO questions asked.

 

Good we can cut the deficit some.

We can have ICE drop them off at the conjunction of the California and Mexican border and tell them it's their choice.

 

That would work...

 

Now that there is a great idea . Hollywood would be a great place .

 

Sad, democrats want to do more for illegal aliens than our vets, children, old people, sick people or women. Why do they pick illegals over Americans?

 

As I see it, it's up to local and state law enforcement to decide whether or not cooperating with ICE in such a public way, is a good policy or whether they think it will be detrimental to their local law enforcement efforts. Some may feel becoming snitches for the Feds is bad news, while others may think it does not real harm to their primary focus. I support either decision.

 

Maybe we should sell California back to Mexico. Maybe Mexico pays for the wall we give them California. Kill two birds with one stone

 

One required the Board of Parole Hearings or the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to notify the federal government up to 60 days before the release of an undocumented immigrant with a violent felony conviction. De León recently amended the bill again to include offenders convicted of serious felonies.

I think Trump will have it done if he continues to take steps toward inhibiting their access. His next move should be to punish companies who hire illegals. That would stop the flow in a heartbeat. Then ICE could focus on the drug trade crossing our borders.

 

This should always have been the smartest most effective focus.

 

That would be the common sense approach but no one ever accused congress of that.

 

Are conservative American states allowed to declare themselves sanctuary states regarding unborn children? Can they declare no unborn child can be aborted in their state?

If not then why can California give sanctuary to those who have committed crimes but other states can't give sanctuary to those trying to have life?

 

US conservatives are the adult in the room. The law breaking, street rioting liberals are the spoiled children. We shall not stoop to their level.

 

It's fun to pick at them though.

 

Harboring criminals is a crime. Arrest all who harbor criminals.

 

So, the federal government sues Arizona for enforcing immigration laws, but we should do nothing to a state willfully ignoring them.

 

Trump will be re-elected and therefore he will have eight years to clean up this mess.

 

Not for long... Not in California. That place is going to really start feeling the effects of these laws and quickly. It will be a "free for all" out there. Tax paying professionals are packing and loading up there cars.....

While I find this unlikely democratically, we shall see.

 

Sounds like cheap labor. We'll be able to compete with China. Maybe those people who expect a middle class income with a high school diploma will learn then.

 

Yeah just try it. We need more excuses to secede.
