Medically speaking, there's nothing unhealthy about masturbation (unless in excess, but that's basically everything) and a few minor health benefits which range from stress relief to improvement of the quality of sperm, which is good if you want to have children. The people who wrote the Bible were the same who sliced off infant's foreskin, so perhaps we should conclude they are not a good modern guide on what should constitute "good" or "bad" any more than other ancient peoples.

but what is sexual immorality? Is a person who enjoys S&M immoral? Is a person who has a foot fetish immoral? Is a person who has sex before being married immoral? Immorality is in the eye of the beholder. About the only things I think are sexually immoral involve the harm/exploitation ot others. If its anything else between two consenting ADULTS, then I say have at it in private and enjoy.

 

Those are more recent fetishes and are not featured in the Bible and thus are up for interpretation, but if it involves spilling one's seed then it comes under immoral.

masturbation itself is not a sin. I would think that the important thing is what images are going through your mind, while doing it. Saying that masturbation is a sin makes no more sense that saying that sex is a sin.

I'd say it isn't even the images themselves, but the connection formed with the projectionist of those images, which makes it devil worship.

Humans masturbate in the womb. Other primates masturbate but humans are the only ones that do it to the climax. Other primates have sex more often than humans and human males masturbate to climax in order to maintain a fresh supply of sperm for when they do have sex.
